Title: Domain Change
Post by: Kayin on August 22, 2014, 03:57:19 am
So I switched to my own domain at this point ( .moe? Awesome) so there might be some weirdness in the coming days. I'm going to try and configure apache to take care of as many of them as possible, but report any major issues here.

Also note, the owner of the pyoko domain has told me that if I've moved on, he's going to let it expire. I'm not sure how much time is left on it, but be sure to update your bookmarks and all that.

Small thing that I noticed: In certain browsers there's a little icon to specify what the website is. The entire site (kayin.pyoko.org) used to have a little icon with a [K], which is gone now. Not a big thing, just an observation. Hopefully everything goes smoothly during the transition.

Simple fix, thanks for catching it!

I had another problem with being logged out after my tab closed. That was an issue on my end though, I'll put the solution below.

NOTE: If you are using Self-Destructing Cookies or some sort of other addon for cleansing cookies, make sure to whitelist it again on the new domain! Otherwise you'll have to login again every single time.

EDIT: It appears that the little [K] logo is limited to the regular www.kayin.moe domain, and doesn't go to subdomains like *.kayin.moe (including iwbtg.kayin.moe). Dunno how hard that'll be to fix.

I have to ask if you're still working on I Wanna Be The Guy: Gaiden? I really love the game but you haven't mentioned it for 2 years and in the list of downloads it doesn't say discountined. Also is there a alternative way to fix to crash at the title screen that can  fix it without having to restart my computer? Thanks for reading. Big Time.  :kid:

Gaiden might get continued one day, but I got other projects that are a lot more important to me. I have lots of idea for Gaiden content, but I absolutely do not work on multiple games at the same time.

To put it another way, when I'm working on a part 2 for Gaiden I'll make everyone know it's my main project.

Whenever I put in my password, it goes to the Password Incorrect screen. Once I put in my password on there, it works fine.

Also I've noticed that occasionally when I hit the "show unread posts" button, it won't show anything even though there are new posts. This could be an error on my part, though

everytime I come to the forums i'm initially logged out, and then depending on the next link I click on I will usually be logged in. Not always. Just an odd phenomina that's happened on my end, nothing major at all. I love .moe!

Sounds like a cookies issue. Once your cookies stick for .moe I imaigne it'll stop being an issue. Hopefully! :D

Oh hey, the little [K] is back on the forums as well! Thanks man, don't think there's any more issues on your end at this point.

Necro'ing with a legitimate question: Wondering what server .moe is from? Is this a U.S. web tag or is it from another country? Was talking to a friend who was saying he was watching anime on a '.to' website which was apparently hosted from argentina. Wondering if the .moe is American or an already prior tag from another place. Curious
