Mecha Birdo is WAY more frustating than The Guy.

General! / I give up

I accept it - I'm not the guy. I'll never be the guy. Not as long as that fucking impossible final form of The Guy stands between me and victory. After 10+ hours of attempting to destroy him, I'm not having fun anymore.
The Kirby segment was fun.
The Tetris room was fun.
The Castlevania segement was fun.
The minecart ride was fun.
Even the GRAVEYARD was fun, I tell you.

But the bosses - nothing but annoyance. Some of them were amusing, yes, but they weren't really fun, they just stood between me and more fun.

But this is it. There's no real reward to be found after The Guy. No more stages of fun. Just an inextraordinarily impossible boss between me and an ending screen.

I didn't play this game to become the guy. I played the game for the fun of it. I had a lot of fun with it, I really did. But now...  I'm not having fun anymore. I'm just annoyed at the boss. I just wanted to beat him to prove myself. But I wasn't having fun.

So...  I'm quitting. If I'm not having fun, I shouldn't be playing. There's no reward for doing it. I'm not going to feel some sort of immense satisfaction after beating him - I've come so close before the only feeling I'd possibly get after winning would be a sense of relief that it's finally over.

But it IS already over, because I'm not going to play to beat The Guy anymore. There's no point. I don't give a damn about becoming the guy. I only wanted to have fun, and I'm not anymore.

I want to thank you, kayin, for all the joy your game brought me. The platforming sequences were really awesome, and I had a lot of fun with them. But the bosses...   no. No. Sorry, I hated them. Every single one of them. They were just an obstacle that had to be overcome for me to experience the rest of the fun the game offered. I honestly think you made a mistake with them. They were not enjoyable in any way.

Mecha Birdo was frustrating to you? Oh god, better not think about your eventual encounter with The Guy.

You can also position yourself to the left of the leftmost spike, but that makes it harder to jump to he next platform without hitting a spike.

The Guy. No doubt. Nothing else comes even remotely close.

The hardest stage sement, however.. hm, hard one. Probably Castlevania.

Oh, I have. I'm not kidding when i said 10+ hours - I spent about 6 hours on the Guy today, and I used at least 4 hours yesterday. But yeah, I'm gonna take a break - I went to buy some food, and this is North Dakota, so it's like negative 5000 degrees outside, and I'm half-dead from that little walk.

Fuck him so hard. I've spent what, 10+ hours trying to beat that fucker now, and I'm so god damn tired of him. Almost got him a couple times too (one eye left of the final form, then I fall off the platform or get hit by some shit).

Is there a way to make the final two forms a bit easier? Is there a hotkey to skip the first three forms because I can probably defeat them in my sleep now, and I'm so bored of them.

Is there a way to get a save point after the first three forms in the next release pretty pretty please?

The Guy is ruining my life, aaaargh!

When I really need to spam bullets I just bring my right hand over and start mashing Z. When I need to move I just put it back.
It's not that hard...

But I'm fucking stuck at The Guy and it's all because I can't spam bullets quick enough to explode his eyes before things get too hellish.

(Oh wait, you can change button configuration? Still too fucking hard, though arggh)

Honestly I find playing on keyboard to be much easier.

But it's not possible to spam bullets as fast unless you're left handed when the shooting button is mapped to Z.

If you change your controls from the original "keyboard" to one of the joystick ports, all bosses should gain triple their original HP.

Having seen a couple youtube videos, the bosses go down so incredibly much easier if you use a good gamepad that this would even things out a bit.

Um, there already is a save point in front of the fortress. >.>

Not in my game there isn't, but I didn't download this new release, so I'm just talking out of my ass anyway.

Was there any reason to add those blocks in the fan room? I would assume to block the save point on the left, but you easily could've moved them directly beside it. At any rate, it makes jumping over Ryu somewhat harder I guess.

Nononono, need save before evil minecart run of evil! Don't take it away from meeee.

...then again, when I first reached that room, I got over the pit by avoiding Ryu, saved, then saw th Guy's fortress, realizaed that oops, maybe I should've killed him, because I didn't know any other way out of the first room other than up, and went through the ENTIRE GAME UP TO THAT POINT AGAIN! rrgh.

Um, but uh, save point in front of the fortress? Doesn't have to be accessible from both sides, just have one.

Don't know if this is known or not, but during Kraidgief's first form, when he does his punch or chop, you can hide in the bottom left corner, and neither attack can hit you.

Help! / Re: Where do I go after Dracula?

if ur stuck at him u can press 0(zero)anytime during the bowser or wart fight and u skip strate to wily (i dont recomend this unless ur a wuss)

Really? Damn, wish I had known that before, I just beat the guy :P

But yeah, a lot of the annoyance came from having to beat Bowser and Wart before Wily. They aren't hard, they just take time, and it's no fun spending 3 minutes on these first form to die at the final form.

But yeah, beat him now, and made my way back to those rooms before Dracula. I already saw where the other two paths are from those Youtubes, so I know where I'm supposed to go now.

Yeah, I figured it out..  now I'm stuck at Wily. Is there some sort of way to cause a lot of damage to him at once, since I can only seem to hit him with a couple bullets every time he drops a bubble, while that Youtube guy killed him with out two bubbles.  How many bullets does he take, anyway? 15?
