I updated the OP with links to IWFWTG and its available presets in the new activation section.

It's like 8 threads down...

new one!

2nd phase of Bald bull, throw two apples at him then grab him with the bionic arm.

then grab and release an apple again and woila!

You should probably say what the bug is instead of just saying how to make it happen.

How do you activate curse mode?

Why don't you read the thread about it....

Updated/cleaned up the OP to be more current. Changed title to accommodate all new modes instead of just Curse Mode. Now this can be a one-stop thread for all new modes.

All signs are pointing to your comp just being too outdated for support. Your entire computer's hardware configuration isn't supported in Windows 7 at all. Aside from there being a driver available through Windows Update, I don't know if you can run this thing.

If Windows Update doesn't bring any relief, you might be SOL. A reversion back to Vista (ew) or XP (yay) might help you out since all your stuff will be supported under those OSes. But again, we still have never gotten clarification from Kayin as to whether the game's reliant on pixel shader 3.0+. That'd be the definitive yes/no as to whether you can play this game or not on your current setup.

For the trouble this is causing you, you might want to consider just buying a new computer, as these compatibility issues will just get worse over time and affect more and more things. A few hundred bucks will get you from 2005-2012 and will blow your socks off with the performance difference.

Weird. Go do 'dem dishes and see if it helps.

Does your graphics controller still say "standard vga"?

Give it a whirl and report back if it doesn't work. If it doesn't work, specify whether it's the same error or a new one.

I should warn you that almost any error at this point is gonna be met with "Are you up-to-date with Windows Update yet?" :P So that should be your next thing to do if it doesn't open.

Remember to run it multiple times, as new updates become available once the older ones get installed. You should include all "optional" updates except for the language packs, as well.

Also if you do in fact still have problems, before trying Windows Update, can you check your device manager and see if your "standard vga adapter" has changed to the proper name?

I still have no idea if this is all for naught because I don't know if the new program Kayin used to make this game is reliant on pixel shader 3.0+. If it is, that's your answer right there.

Kayin, some insight?

This might be a tough one.

Instead of trying to figure out why auto-update won't work (could be a lot of stuff, and it's not worth wasting time over it right now), I went and tried to find a direct download for you.

From what I can see, Intel has never released a W7-compatible driver for the GMA900 you have. They seem to have a Vista driver, which could potentially work on your system (some people have success with it).

Go here and download the chipset driver, Windows Vista should be selected as the OS by default on the page. If it's not, just change it via the dropdown list under "refine your results".

It's an all-in-one install that just installs drivers for all the different hardware on your motherboard, which SHOULD include the GMA since it's integrated.
