Incidentally, the walkthrough should say to save AFTER getting the units upon boss-beating, not before, or else it doesn't count.

There, I did it on hard. Felt much more accomplished. Now i just need to go back and get that last secret item... it's going to be a pain.

I've won on Medium, but I won't really consider myself The Guy until I win on Hard... and I'm almost there! I'm at the save point right before the last secret item right now, trying to get that, beat The Guy, then go back and get the one I missed.
