Yes, I'm suggesting this as an option. For someone who has already completed the game, though, it would be nice to have the music not being interrupted and having an overall better flow.

I'm aware that you can press R, but it's usually not quite as fast as in Super Meat Boy or VVVVVV. The option to have consistent music is a good one, I think. It really added to the overall experience of playing Super Meat Boy and VVVVVV, and it would probably add to the experience of playing IWBTG as well. I'm okay if that's an option and not the default mode, however.

Suggestions and Bug Reports! / Suggestion: Option to speed up respawn times

Like many people, I've played and really liked I Wanna Be The Guy. Over the years since it was released, new indie games were released. Games like VVVVVV and Super Meat Boy. Games that, frankly, had a better respawn system than IWBTG.

Now, what are the problems with the respawn system of IWBTG? There are two main problems. The first problem is that it takes time. It slows down gameplay quite a bit. This would be okay if deaths were infrequent, but in IWBTG, they are not.

Another problem is that it disrupts the music. The Ghost & Goblins part is one of the best examples on why this is a bad thing. The Monty on the Run segment is also a good example, because I really like that song.  :D

I could argue further, but, to be honest, I think few people would agree that this would be a good feature to have. It could be added to Option, like "Fast Respawn" or something like that. An example from Super Meat Boy how it could work in practice (Note, it's not my video):

If someone added this, I would be much more likely to replay IWBTG.  ;D

Would this be hard to program? I have no idea, but it really would be a great addition to the game.

Team Fortress 2 has gotten a lot of updates, though.

When will this comic be updated?

I took a break from this game for a few days, I'm back now, fighting the guy. He doesn't seem to be too hard, at least not the first part.

You found the Kirby bit easy, eh? It was one of the hardest parts in the beginning, I believe. It might have to do with the part one takes, I began with the left part, with Tetris, Kirby, Mother Brain and all that. When I came to the upper part and stuff like Ghost 'n Goblins, I had less problems with that than many other people, but I might have had more problems with Kirby and stuff. When (or if) I play the game again on hard, I will begin with the upper part.

I haven't read "Jack", is it good? And what is Groundhog Day?

Nowadays, however, it is outdated in all of these areas except, maybe, teaching people to be good, and I'm sure there are other ways to do this.
According to happiness research, "being good" will generally make you more satisfied than not being good, so that's a good reason to "be good".

I am not sure whether these areas are regarded as hard or not, but I beat Breakout and Gradius in 5 minutes, without even dying much. Gradius was really easy once I figured out that the wall to the left kills me, Breakout wasn't that hard either.

No, it doesn't always work, it works occasionally. Like sometimes when you keep dying, you might use the music as a guideline, as something that will help you time your jumps.

Am I the only one who actually use the music as an aid when playing the game? I sometimes use it to help me time jumps, like, "When that part comes up, it's time to jump". Am I the only one who does this, or have you guys "used" the music too?
