weird stuff from v.049


the pipe going to the piranha plant sounds even if you're not in the platform which ... is weird.

and when on the street before the dancing boss (the one with buildings, etc) the whole menu seems to bug if you go to any of the options

and if you go to any of the options from the menu and then exit if you were looking to the right the heads starts looking left and the whole body still is pointed at the right.... THAT is weird.

and the dying screen at the dancing boss looks weird too.

and just a question, why is the boss when going through the portals disabled? =/

if you have an object or sprite or whatever named "Boss1" then you can't have "global.Boss1" and if it still doesn't work I would suggest removing any numbers/capitals in the variable name.

ok i tried that and creating the object that should dissapear..

when i added that into my boss's step event

well this should  be my last question so.. how do you make it so that if you kill certain object (1 or more) a new path opens somewhere? like if u kill boss1 and boss2, path3 will open

One way to do it:

Duplicate the camera object from IWBTEngine, remove the player part in the code so it's something like this

Code: [Select]

if (instance_exists(player)) {
    view_xview=800;
    view_yview=608+4;
}
replace it with the camera object in the room, give a speed, use the method I told you above, except the Object following is the new camera

im asking too many questions D: so... when u kill a boss or a npc or anything how do u make it so the music that is playing while ur fighting it stops?

First, don't double post....

Here's how you do it:

Room → Views → Object following → player → Hbor (If you're using IWBTEngine defaults 800X608) 580 → Vbor 228

i have to create a object called alarm0? anyways in the boss1 i havee a create object with paths the set alarm 0 to 5 and variables... and alarm0 event and a step event in which i have the code you told me either which is making the boss shoot millions of bullets a second

okay  i put a code in the step event

instance_create(x,y,thunder)
alarm0=50

and it made the boss shoot lots of bullets every second

how do you make the boss attack more than once? i gave it an attack with alarm but it only attacks once

edit: nevermind i remade the room and it fixed itself randomly.. anyways i have a last question (probably lolz) how do you make it so it starts in a screen with a continue and to choose the difficulty? and then it warps you to the start of the game etc. well i think that'd be ty for all dude

create a sprite (like a button or something), name that spr_continue, if you want to enable the player to continue the game when the button is clicked, create an object, set if mouse's left button clicked, loadGame() which I think it's a script already written in IWBTEngine

for difficulty, if left clicked, set global.difficulty=1,=2,=3 etc. IWBTEngine starts with 3 difficulties, wuss, hard, hardcore, and for impossible you just remove the saves, which I think it has already been done for you as well (thx to tijit)

I'm not sure what you're asking but in the room, go to Settings, and change the room's width and height there, you don't change the camera object

I did so but and the documentation said only to insert the camera object so I did that (my room size is 2400x608) and it will keep glitching and showing the whole room itself without only showing a 800x608 part.. idk how to explain it very well :/

trigger01 or trigger02

you only stepped into 1 trigger?

i can step into both but the item02 wouldnt come up if i try stepping in either one of them or both only the item01 falls
