Crap! / Goodbye IWBTF
« on: December 30, 2018, 06:55:44 am »
I will miss you, old friend. I remember in 2010 when I got perma banned I still wanted to read what people were saying about me, but I couldn't find a way! Little did I know I just had to clear my cache/cookies lol. Then I made a new account on my DSi browser and got banned again, but two accounts later I'm still here. I did say lot of stupid crap, I think everyone did that a bit, but we all grew out of it. At the moment, I've been logged in for 5 days and 8hrs in total, but that number will stop going up now.
Bye bye I Wanna Be The Forums! CANTAVANDA WILL REVENGE! (Rule 39)

Crap! / SCARY IWBTF Dream
« on: July 24, 2018, 12:59:25 pm »
I had a super scary and detailed dream on how this forum was hacked by an unknown individual.
All members and oldfags were there too BTW.
Kayin couldn't stop the hacker, so decided to create IWBTF2.
It was a very big (lots of subforums, lots of useless/weird ones) forum with a completely black skin, and white text, it was quite spooky.
The big banner, when clicked on lead to a HTML5 minigame, it was some kind of platformer world that you were teleported too when you clicked on it.
This game was somehow put on IWBTF2 by the original hacker!
A message in the beginning of the game says "Beat this, and you will get the original forum back."
Everyone wanted that, because we were so emotionally connected to our old posts/profiles/names/avatars and wanted them to remain forever.
There were no profile pictures on IWBTF2 either: The only colour in it was the banner that lead to the game.
Years passed without beating the game, and the community died.
One day I decided to look back into the original forum; And the hacker was gone!
I informed everyone and everyone returned back to this place, and we lived happy ever after!

This might seem made up and for attention, but I deadass dreamed this..... Together with many other dreams: I slept like a stone from 23:00 and woke up at 15:30 confused.
Funny thing is I haven't visited in months, and came here to make this topic lol.

Also the way of navigating the forums was very trippy, like it was like you were transported into a 3D interpretation of the forum, you had to climb high or jump down to get to another subforum, to reach it lol, everything was huge. Very trippy.

Crap! / Copypasta culture
« on: May 15, 2017, 12:55:34 pm »
I find copypasta culture legitimately annoying. No this isn't a weird meta copypasta (not that some jackasses aren't going to make it into one)
Copypastas lack creativity. Its the same gimmick every time. Post X thing ironically to see if someone falls for it.
Memes at least have a good variety to their uses and humor. Obviously I wouldn't call memes high brow, but they're certainly above copypastas.
The only cp I have ever legitimately found funny was the navy seal trained in gorilla warfare with over 500 confirmed kills. That rollercoaster of a shitpost was hilarious

Crap! / SNES or Wii U
« on: June 15, 2016, 11:21:37 am »
Hello there, this summer I would love to buy a video game console and the best games of that console, but I am stuck, should I buy a SNES or a Wii U?
I cannot choose, on the one hand I would love to experience the old classics such as Chrono Trigger, TLoZ: Link's Awakening and FF IV/III, and the SNES is cheaper, but on the other hand, the Wii U has the virtual console library, SSB4, and future Nintendo games that I'm interested in, such as the new Zelda.
Would you guys help me to choose? I'm a bit stuck.

Crap! / My dramatic views of this online community in 2012
« on: April 04, 2016, 02:25:13 pm »
Get ready for some gold, and for some real funny stuff!
Everyone knows that Cantavanda stories from 2010-2012, right?
If not, then it's a hole in your culture of this forum.
Anyways, I tried coming back some times, and got banned again, and again. I was also very active on another forum, of Facebook games, which is kinda dead now. The only posts are spambots, and people asking for help or questions, all the community members are completely gone.
In 2012 I got banned for a second or third time, I don't remember, and was frustrated, so I made this golden amazing topic:

I cannot send a PM to you.
Hello there, since you have won the fangame contest, I have a question.
I'm already searching for ages for a platform code in Tijit's engine for platforms in all directions, with a path.
The code of the platform in his engine is so freaking weird, he even stated it in the documentation, and all the other engines use the same code.
Could you please make a very flexible platform object, you can edit the player and platform object.

And here's the fun part.

...For money!!
I can send you some paypal money (5-10 dollars), if you succeed, and agree, thank you!

Did you guys know that I am still using Tijit's original IWBTG engine as a base for games I am making now?
I'm currently making a base platforming engine with code based of his IWBTG engine, it's just that useful.
The collision, movement and saving is just so darn perfect, and in all of those modern engines, nothing was as good as his old GM6 engine.
So thanks, Tijit!
