Join renegade mechanic Robin and uncover the secrets of a dying planet. Explore a big world filled with intricate puzzles, interesting characters and menacing bosses in a beautiful platform adventure that tells a personal story about faith, purpose and the challenge of helping people.

One of the two incredible platformers that dropped in the second week of the year (the other being Celeste). Made with love by a single person over the course of 7 years, it is nothing short of a masterpiece.
My most sincere recommendations!

Other Games! / Gimmicky - a mobile runner inspired by IWBTG
« on: February 02, 2018, 10:30:11 pm »
By the very nature of this board I'll start by stating the obvious, this is not a complete game by any means but rather a playable demo, at the moment.

It's not a fangame per se, but it's safe to say that, given my background, it's influenced by IWBTG.
However, you have minimal control of where your character goes, as it's a runner game. There won't be any IWBTG-esque traps, high speed falling/flying spikes or any of the sorts.
It's a game that strives to be challenging, but not in an obnoxious way, or so I would like to think.

In 2010, I had a go at making my IWBTG fangame and I poured my heart and soul into it. But as a 14 year old then, I eventually got tired of it and abandoned it. For years I had no contact with game development at all, until last year.
I had an overwhelming need to make something, anything, that in some way shape or form resembles IWBTG, something that will always remind me of this place, the people I met here and all the fangames that I wasted my time on.
So this is that. As silly or stupid as this may sound, IWBTG and fangames were a big part of my childhood. After I'm done with making this game, I'll put an end to this chapter in my life.

All forms of feedback are the most appreciated, don't hold back - be as harsh as you will!

Crap! / even if you're not into japanese animation please listen

I think I said this a couple of times here already but if you haven't seen it and you have spare time, watch Steins;Gate please. It's unlike any other anime out there and you won't find the stereotypical highschool bullshit that's all over the usual anime shows.

It's an Excellent® tale of time traveling praised by many as the best work of animation ever and it deserves all of it's praise. The only people who do not like Steins;Gate are either people who haven't seen it yet or people who gave up on it too soon before it got balls to the walls amazing. It takes a few episodes to get it going, but once it starts oh boy it doesn't let you go (it starts out as a light hearted comedy that gets darker as the episodes go by). Why it works so well is that this is not another show that uses time travel as a plot device to get from time A to time B and do stuff there - it's a series more focused about the act of time traveling itself, masterfully using the cause and effect logic.

Steins;Gate is set in 2010 and it's about a college student who develops random gadgets with his friends. By serendipity they discover that one of their gadgets, Phone Microwave (name subject to change), has a function that it wasn't designed for - it can send text messages in to the past, changing the present in the process.

Now let's forget about the fact that this is an animated series and that it was made in Japan, alright? If you're looking for the following in a show:

-a masterfully written time traveling story
-characters that feel like living beings- each leading their life, existing in the series to interact with the world rather than to fill a role
-amazing character growth/development
-no unnecessary characters - each and every character is important
-beautiful ost
-story of john titor
- feels. darkness. a show that will rip your heart out through your kneecaps and make you eat it afterwards
- witty sarcastic humor
- cool character chemistry
god damn it just go watch it, if you happen not to like it I'd be extremely surprised. I just need to share this with someone, I love this show as I'm certain that you noticed ages ago

tay, katz, please tell them to watch it

General Discussion! / Wildstar (betakeys inside)
« on: September 04, 2015, 06:06:54 pm »
So Wildstar is going free to play 29th September, just a few days before college starts lols but luckily you can grab beta keys now here if you hurry up! It's that mmo I talked about earlier, the one mmo that I consider worth trying out in this day and age.
We can play on the PTR servers together this month since I won't be able to play the live version when it goes free to play due to college and all that.
