I think this is an Excellent® idea, and I think it's perfectly respectable to register for the forum and make a single post saying as such.

Hm, I've never had it limit down to one, that must be something location specific. I've got nothing on that one, short of asking if it seems to be any different when you load the save a second time. It wasn't always consistently happening to me, is it happening to you every time?

It's kinda subtle, not really noticeable unless you're paying attention. It's just that if you're firing from across the screen, sometimes there will be a small gap in your shots between groups of 4. Just makes it tricky at times where your shot streams need to be timed perfectly.

Certain games get less like something you play and become more like memorization, repitition, and practice... While that kind of thing is challenging, and certainly part of IWBTG... It's not really playing a game, it's more like work. =/ While I can enjoy myself with certain parts of IWBTG, there were others (like the air-manuvering you had to do to get to Mother Brain) that were just pure frustration for me. x.x I didn't succeed by practice, it was almost all luck. =/
Seconded. Though in all fairness I don't see IWBTG as a 'game' in all the normal senses. I think the entire point is to overcome the absolutely ferocious odds, to have luck on your side, and to do things over, and over, and over again merely to say you did them. I don't recall who said it, but someone involved with the project said, "The only way the game beats you is if you give up." That's what IWBTG is for me. A quirky yet entertaining test of my skill and patience. There were times I was absolutely furious at the game as I played it. But now that I've proven to myself I can do it, it's nothing but rewarding.
So I can forgive IWBTG for the bits where merely luck got me through. At least SOMETHING got me through.

Not to put words in Kayin's mouth, but each alpha build's saves have been compatible with every successive new build, and from everything he's said, once you're done all you have to do is wait for the final release.
So my unofficial estimate pending an emergency or spectacular oversight is that the saves should be compatible, so you can play 'til you're blue in the fingers.

Actually, smite, there's a way around that. Every time it happens I just put myself near the edge of the screen and fire into the wall (or off the edge). The bullets should be back to normal, and if you turn around it stays normal about 70% of the time. If it continues to limit your bullets, just turn around and try again.
If I hadn't figured that out, the third phase of Clown Copter would've taken a lot longer than it did.
