For all the bosses, I'm going to put a theoretical minimal jumps (for those who can shoot 1000000057.2 bullets/sec) and my best record. I'm still not sure if I'm going to let myself save there or not. Sorry about the recent lack of updates, blame it on "I Take Longer On One Freaking Stage On Jumper Than It Takes Me To Beat The Entire IWBTG Game Twice".

First segment of Palace of the Guy. Soooo hard... I would have voted moon/zelda/corridor but I got blazing lucky and got through on my first try.  ;D Then on my subsequent medium run-through it took me upwards of 100 deaths to get it. Ah well, better that than the other way around.

Drat.  >:( On the walljumping segment after the tetris room, you need to do some quite tricky jumps to get through it minimally. So. It took me around 200 tries to get through the first time, and I knew how hard the next segment was going to be, so I... saved. :-[ I'm sorry guys, if you hate me that's fine but first do the series of jumps attached in the screenshot. Then do the next segment.

This sounds very interesting. Hold on a minute, doesn't that mean you can't save after Birdo?
Or before and after Bowser, or before The Guy, or any other crucial spot?

Hmm? What? Nothing. Never mind.  Nope. Won't save. Nuh-uh.
I definitely won't save before the guy, but bowserrrrr.... he's hard. Oh, almost forgot, the one from the wuss save to the save before dracula is nice. Very nice. It's a big shortcut. Who knows, this run might lead to some easier ways to get through some tough rooms. That would be great! I already have figured out a shortcut in one room after the Mother Brain fight, though it's definitely not an easy-cut, it's pretty hard to do.

The hardest ones so far have been:

save after Mike Tyson, skipping Legend of Zelda save, to save at the beginning of Ghosts and Goblins (block at far left): 31

becuase it requires two perfect 5-block doublejumps, one when the moon is chasing you, and:

There to wuss save after spike corridor: 10

Because to get through the entire spike corridor in 2 jumps, you have to walk over the two-spikes-in-a-row-on-the-floor while they're down which is very pixel perfect, and also walking over the last spike on the floor which goes twice as fast so it's just as pixel perfect, and then making the crazy hard jump at the end, so that's 3 perfect moves before I can save.

I'm starting a minimal jumping run in medium mode and putting up my results. If you think any segments could be improved, or want to know how I achieved one of them, post here. I'm starting with the upper path (complete! I'm starting on the Kraidzeif path now), and counting regular jumps, midair jumps, wall jumps, pretty much how many times I press Z. If a save point requires an extra jump to get to, I can't use it.  :'(
Start to 1st medium save: 12, and the save is at the topmost left block
There, skipping the next save, to the next wuss save: 9
There to just before Mike Tyson: 10
I'll skip the bosses until the very end. They're going to be h-a-r-d to get a minimal jump count on. So:
save after Mike Tyson, skipping Legend of Zelda save, to save at the beginning of Ghosts and Goblins (block at far left): 31

There to next save: 13 but don't even ask about bat-riding the whole way
There, skipping the next wuss save, to the wuss save after that (block on far left): 11

There, skipping fan room save, to the wuss save at the top: 9, and I save so that I can shoot the on/off switch on the way down
There to start of Castlevania: 9, saving on the second step from the top, to the next wuss save (I jumped at the same time I save so that if I held left when I spawned, I landed on the one-block-wide platform to the left of the wuss save): 17
There to the save before Dracula: 4
Again, skipping bosses...
upper path complete! Total: 158 I think.
Room of Divine Transportation (block on the right, even with the save) to next save (just to the left of it): 28. FYI, 13 before tetris, 12 in tetris, and 3 after tetris.
There to the save in Kraidzeif's hideout: 31
There to next wuss save: 8
There to save before Kraidzeif: 14
There, skipping the save at the beginning of Megaman, to the save where you can decide to go down or to the right: 11
I'll take the Bowser path first.
There to wuss save: 7
Skipping bosses, but for the record just the boss is 4.
Save in the "oh sweet god" room to next save: 13
As we've already seen, there to wuss save at the top of fan room: 21
There to beginning: 4

EDIT: Okay,
tan 6.428 degrees is about .1127 which means you would go .1127 units east for every unit you went north. 1/9=.111... which is fairly close, so I would expect to have to veer off the path around pp9. But the game makes me veer off at pp14, and 1/14 is 0.0714... which is nowhere near what the puzzle says. Um?

EDIT2: Oh, it's referring to
Veering 6.428 degrees from the original position of the note. In which case,pp14 is 15 units north and 2 unit east by my count, which is about 7.595 degrees away. In either case it's not 6.428, so I'm interested as to where the initial point of reference is.

3HP run anyone? I'm at the secret area, haven't gotten past room 2 yet. A Bute kills me every time...
I used this game for calm-down periods between IWBTG attacks.
Also: First form Ballos glitch: when he charges at you, jump up, then boost left or right, then boost up again so he'll charge up at you instead of crashing down on you. He'll hit the ceiling and float down giving you plenty of time to shoot him. :D

It's only my second game, so it probably isn't very good...
It's a platformer, right now there are only 5 levels but I'm programming the sixth now. You have to collect all the coins and go to the exit on each level. Z = jump  space = next level (after you beat one) you can also skip to any level with the number keys 1-5. If the game's too big for your browser, press F11.
stuff I need to do:
music. better graphics. level 6. fix the 10000 tiny bugs.

1. Start a game in v. hard or impossible mode. Go two screens left to the room of divine transportation. Easy, right? Now go back along the same route, and get back to the exact place you begin the game. (easy)
2. Complete the minecart ride with exactly 5 doublejumps. I don't care what mode you play in, if you die you can reset the count to whatever it was when you saved. EDIT: Did I say 5? I meant 4.

I found a bunch of minecart ride bugs, here they are:
1. If you doublejump at the very beginning, you go off the top of the screen and die.
2. On a bridge like the one near the beginning or during the Cheep-Cheep section, you can jump off the cart onto the brige and keep walking forward as if you were still on the cart. It stops when you go over a support pillar but if you jump over the pillars you keep going.
3. If you ever go off any side of the screen (top like in #1, right like in #2 or using normal walljumps) you die.

In retrospect, it wasn't very hard at all. It was just while I was playing it that it was freaking hard... ::)
