Fangames! / Re: I Wanna Be The Boshy (Online, V.1.0 is released!)

Thx, fixed the glitches for future versions =)
Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to get Solgryn's attention quickly.
Something's seriously wrong with the leaderboards. I've uploaded two Boss Rush attempts and one full run of the game on Hard mode with 924 deaths without using Sonic (which I put in the name box: "Matt Davis (avengah) WITHOUT Sonic" or something like that), and none of them have appeared on the leaderboard. I hope my 924 death run won't be wasted!
By the way, thanks for creating such an outstanding game. I love it and can't stop playing it!
EDIT: Here's proof. I didn't cheat or use Sonic at all during this run.
Heh, looks like people already had my idea. Two people already have 0 death hard mode saves uploaded to the boshy database. However, the order is weird - surely it should be in order of difficulty then deaths? It's in order of difficulty, but the order of deaths is random it seems.
EDIT: Ah, I've worked out the order. It is in ASCII order. That means 10000 comes before 1100. It also means 2 comes before 3000 but after 1000000. So, Solgryn, you might want to change it so it's actually in numerical order rather than ASCII order; if someone's got more digits in their death counter but the first few digits are lower, he will place higher in the table.
Am I stuck? Is there anything I can do?As far as I know, this is a design flaw and there's no way back other than having a person help you by saving a different place in online... So try to get someone (Or open 2 different windows in 2 different directories and help yourself) to help you by saving somewhere.: show
YAY YAY YAY!
I've beaten the final boss on EZ mode! Now all I've got to do is do it with my Hard mode file - hopefully won't be much longer!
I was totally intimidated when I saw the final boss's attacks at first - so much so, that after my first few failures I actually started a new file and played through the whole game again on Hard. So, I've got TWO hard mode files, one outside the final boss and one in the teleporter room (with the final boss port activated)! But I'm not scared of it any more. I will triumph, and I will be the Boshy very soon!
Oh btw solgryn i have a sticky topic featurieng only the best fangames (adn evidently there aren't many) i featured I wanna be the boshy because it is one of my fave fangames!
I'm really angry now.
My computer crashed during the final sequence of World 6. My save file got reduced to 0 KB. Why? It wasn't mid-save or anything?!? I don't mind playing through most of it again, but FUCKING SONIC. And my 3500 kills that I need to accumulate again for the Etable achievement. That'll take all year. If I can beat Sonic, which I nearly couldn't last time, and which took me two days of almost non-stop play to do.
EDIT: I'm now at Sonic, with all achievements I had before plus one: the Pro Mode for World 1, which is actually really easy to get. Possibly far easier than it's supposed to be.
Question for World 4. There's a room with this shape: \_/ with the diagonals made out of arrows. At the bottom there are four heart blocks covering some spikes, and you need to try to get to the bottom right of the room. There are also two double-jump replenishers over the bottom spikes. My question is this: what purpose do the double-jump replenishers and heart blocks serve? You can simply jump on to the underside of the \_/ formation, and from there easily double-jump to the lower right corner of the room; thus not having to go near the heart blocks or double-jump replenishers. I've got a slight feeling you're actually intended to complete the room by going up the left, over the top, back down the far left, then quadruple-jump over the spikes to get to the exit, but it's not even difficult in the slightest to reach the bottom of the \_/, seeing as you go through the arrows anyway by a couple of squares if you haven't jumped, and you can then use the double-jump to get there - and this technique is also required to get over the spike in the top left corner.
Sorry if that's a bit confusing; I did it the hard way out of curiosity, to see if I could and to see if it looked like the right use for the jump extenders. There aren't extra spikes on higher difficulty settings are there? As in, on the bottom of the \_/ shape? Although, if spikes were removed for EZ mode, there'd be no need for the heart blocks.
Very worthwhile game. Changeable characters, online play, unlockables, and more. The only issue I have is the lag. It might have to do with either the game or my piece-of-crap computer.
I just got it and im loving it! I'm stuck on the bit in the first world (don't mock me :C) at the screen after the mole , what do i do?
Playing the latest (0.9.4.4) beta... how do I get past the room with kirby and the disappearing clouds? I did figure out how to jump over kirby, but now what? The clouds on the left vanish whereas the elevator is blocked by spikes.
Btw. Playing on hard, it took me 3-4h to reach the last save point.
I can't play it anymore, it says:
You are using an invalid beta!
And if you press OK you it shuts the game down. And I just caught the Rattata... :-(
