Let me explain:

Something that doesn't kill you directly, but causes you to die, two examples are the Medusa heads and cheep cheeps.

I'm going to keep mine a secret for a day or two... but anything that doesn't kill you is allowed, even the platforms that move you into the spikes, if you want.

I want to know what thing at what place caused you to die the most times.

without out a doubt, the spike corridor. I got more deaths from that one area than the rest of the game combined.

Tell people who've just reached the Spike Corridor to do that last jump just before the spike goes down.  They'll be attempting it for days before they realize you lied, and then about 2 more hours trying to do it the right way.

Wow, that's really mean. Tell them it's only hard for the first few screens, then it gets much easier, and when they're asking when it gets easy, just say, "Just a few more screens"

just realized it didn't post...

It took me forever to beat the guy. His giant head form was torture, even when I knew the pattern, SOMETHING would happen to kill me (glitch with infinate flame breath, shining thing going above me while the guys firebolts were in my escape path etc.) but I finally beat him... and I'm trying very hard mode and keep dying at the part right after birdo... I think there should be a safe point there, even if it's just so I don't feel stupid for dying there. Also, whenever I do die there, the spikes in the G&G area glitch, and I'm refusing to get past any part that way.

Hopefully this picture works.

I beat it without unnecessary help...

I had to re-download it because the wall jumps weren't working right and it made it too hard, I only figured it out after asking in these forums. (sometimes even when holding shift it would make me fall for no reason.)

It works good now though and I beat it without help.

I looked on most of the pages and didn't find this one so sorry if someone else already posted it.

On the final fight when you face the guy...

I don't know how to hide this under a spoiler tag

When he's the giant head the second time I'm hitting his eyes, if I take out the second eye when he's blowing fire at me... it doesn't stop coming. It makes that fight even more difficult or impossible at times (i.e. when the fire is right on top of one of the pillars) It happens to me every once in awhile, a total of 8 times if my count is still correct, and it's getting very annoying.

nah, it's alright, it only does it once in awhile, and it usually does it a few seconds after I die so it rarely messes me up.

p.s. I don't know if you can, but I don't know how to run windows 98 compatability on my comp, it's a windows 7

I think it was The Hall of Former The Guys...
anyways this includes a spoiler and please don't read unless you have beaten the hall of the former the guys.

At the part with the ninja, I thought I was going to have to fight him, right before that happened that error message comes up. This is actually very common for me and I finally got this far. So in anger I pushed the keyboard forward, and before I could start reading, it comes down and kills me.

Now then, that deserves an applause, Rarely does anything get me by that much of a surprise so kudos... That just made my day, (even though playing this game earlier is what ruined it lol)

So, because of that, I just had to post this, good job... dang, what was it... Kayin? good job Kayin (or whatever your name is... sorry.)

I know that i need to hold the jump button, but about half of the time I don't actually jump off of the wall, I just drop. what's the trick to actually jumping off the wall?

I'm on the part in dreamland that I have run from the spiked wall, I did the last part yesterday and can't remember exactly how to wall jump very well. I can do it once in awhile but most of the time, I just fall off of the wall.
So how does wall jumping work exactly? After your holding onto the wall... do you let go of arrow key and jump, then hold direction? Do you hold other direction then jump? do you jump while still holing the direction key? I'm asking because I don't think it's the same time because it's just way too close.
I know it's all within a very small time limit, but any advice would help, thanks
