Other Games! / Re: My Cat is Challenged

It's simple yet a funny, trolling game. I actually managed to get the fish where your upper body becomes jet propelled, but have no idea how to possible get the others. Nice post!

Beating the guy is something I do for fun. I did however beat him first go in my Let's Play, was pretty happy about that. I've also beaten his first form with the evil save block chasing after you. I like fighting the evil save block version simply because it reinvigorates the challenge of defeating a deadly foe all over again. Congrats to all those other guys out there, and hope for there to be many more to come.

Ok, so I've played through the game so far, and I have to say for a first demo, it's actually pretty decent. Although the boss is a rather simple pattern, it's still enjoyable (I guess you hadn't decided on the hp for it since it dies in a few hits, so I was just dodging it for as long as I could). The music is good, although there's not very much of it. I'm not sure if you plan on having death music or not, but I did kind of find it annoying in some parts where the music would always start over when I'd die. World 1 is has a lot of spikes to it, but I like the fact that you have something other than spikes that'll kill you. World 2 is better, I liked the Lakitu segment, even though it was a bit short, and the mid air jump blocks. Also, liked the Piranha Plant kill at the end of that one segment, made me smile. It's still going to need a fair bit of work, but it's a real nice start. If you work at it, I'm sure you can get better and make this a pretty decent game. I'll be keeping an eye on this in the future.

Fangames! / Re: I Wanna Be Like Brisulph *Windows 8 Patch*

Bosses are unlocked by completing the Trial Gates. Turn the Trial Gates on, and then locate a red ring. If you collect all 8 red coins IN ORDER within 15 seconds, you will unlock one of the bosses. If you complete all 8 trial gates, you also unlock the Battle Royale setting.

Ok, that actually makes a lot of sense, I was wondering how I was able to fight 4 of the bosses today. I like that too. Gives me a reason to go and do the other trial gates. Anyway thanks for getting back to me, should be getting all the achievements at this rate.

Hey YoSniper.

Really did enjoy this game, but I seem to be having trouble with Boss Rush Mode. For some reason, it's not letting me fight any of the bosses. I've tried messing around with difficulties and settings but I can't get it to work. Do you know what the problem might be?

Just my opinion, but I don't prefer the Yoshi's Island Mini Boss theme for the Big Boo boss. I think it should be changed, but I don't mind it too much.

Listening to that while fighting his guy just pisses me the heck off. It feels like that bastard of a boo's trolling me. However if that's the effect Geezer, you succeeded.

On a bit of different note, on the 'Fangames that are worth giving a go!' thread, Weegee just needs one more vote to be put on the list, would anyone be interested in making the vote to get it on the list? Might not make a huge difference, but you never know, a little more attention for the game could help it in the long run.

Yo Trigger, hope all's going well. I just wanted to let you know we're all still looking forward to the end result so keep up the great work. Although I don't have the strongest following, I did give this game a shout out in the finale of my I Wanna Be The Guy LP. It's not much, but maybe it'll convince someone to check it out. ^^

Best wishes man!

Am I at the end? The kid won't let me in the woods, and I've got 15 items and 6 characters. Should I have found a use for things like Solgryn, the Nyan Cat and the puzzle pieces?

EDIT: Actually never mind for now, I found a way in. I'm at four coloured torch things, and I've lit them all. I've even lit them all in order according to the house, but nothing's happened. Is this the end of the beta? And is it possible to reach the upper area of the last couple of screens? (Actually, I must have accidentally shot the red one again. I've opened the doors now.)

EDIT 2: And the flying tile room can be skipped. If you leave via the top exit, you reappear at the entrance of the room; this also happens in the room with the falling rocks and ceiling holes in an earlier world. You can also shortcut the puzzle in the room after the coloured torches by ducking and jumping; this enables you to jump into one-tile-high gaps just below the ceiling and crawl through them; you appear to go slightly into the ceiling.

EDIT 3: Now am I at the end? I've reached a genie thing; there's harmless fire across the bottom of the screen and I can't seem to do anything. ...reading this topic tells me I am at the end, so never mind that. There is a glitch I should report, though. When I started World 3 before, I shot the thing and died before saving. My current save at the time was in the hub room. So when I pressed R, I reappeared in the hub room but the electric thing was still slowly going up the screen. When I went back into World 3, the graphics were all messed up and I couldn't see the platforms and walls.

Yes you've reached the end of the game. For that puzzle room, I'm pretty sure that he still needs to set up it up so you get the hint you're supposed to get for the solution, otherwise, you just have to try every single possible order.

I will be starting an LP of this on my new channel soon. I dont know all the secrets but I hope it will be entertaining =3

Trust me, if you enjoy the I Wanna Be The _____ type of games, you're going to love doing this. And I'm perfectly fine waiting for you to finish this Trigger. I just want to let you know that we love what you've given us already and we'll be more than satisfied knowing that our patience will pay off with the amazing game that is IWBTW. Keep chipping away at it man. We'll wait! ;P

Oh I know it's good, i've played up to the 4th world before. I'm not sure if I ever finished it (or got as far as you can get in it, anyway) but yeah. I just meant I didnt know how to get into the secret areas, like past those laser beams on the left side of those world 2 rooms. Only secret I know is the metroid one

Ok, well, I don't want to spoil where the secrets are for you, the world 2 one is visible so you should be able to see it if you're on the lookout, and the world 3 one is closer than you think. Best of luck on your Let's Play!

Hey Trigger, how are things going. I'm just letting you know that I'm still eagerly awaiting the first full version of the game. You think we might get to see something by Christmas time? I don't want to rush you or anything, trust me, I KNOW how busy life can get at times. Just curious. Hope all the best for ya!

I would like to add my vote for I Wanna Be The Weegee. It's Beta is incredibly fun, has a good mix of difficulty without pointless frustration, an exceptional number of collectibles, extras and secrets. Plus, I believe that soon, a full version will be out which I'm exceptionally excited for. The beta alone should earn it a position on this list, it's an undervalued game for not being there.

So Trigger, how's progress, coming, slowly but surely? And I checked that last blog, I think the list looks significantly closer to being completed than when I first checked it. Keep it up man, you're almost there, but take your time to polish it up! ;)

Hey Trigger. So I've been playing I Wanna Be The Weegee and have to say I really like what you've done with it. So far, I've made it up to the genie boss in the Zelda world. Nothing seems to happen there and no fight actually commences. Would I right in believing this is the furthest I can go so far or am I missing something?
