The time has come. The 1.9 Update will be released in a few minutes.
There is only one problem: We have removed the "contest"  
Because we didn't found something to obfuscate the game it would have made no sense to start the contest because everyone just could decompile the game. The contest will NOT be thrown into the trashbin. It is only delayd until we found sth to obfuscate the game with. If you know anything that could help, we startet a obfuscate thread. Be sure to visit that thread. We from ValDenStudios still hope you'll enjoy the 1.9 with the "underwaterland". The feedback we got is inbuilt means the game has moar backgrounds. If you find any new or old bugs or have suggestions please write them on this thread.

EDIT: I think it's a good idea to add version 1.9's changelog:
final changelog 1.9 (pre-final update)
+ created underwater-land
+ new boss
+ added backgrounds
* nerfed game again
* changed game icon
* prepared game for fangame contest
* code cleanup

- removed loading bar
- deleted custom character
- deleted miniboss

We are sure that you can't wait to play our latest update!
We are working on it but the obfuscating takes much time! If the game could not be obfuscated till mid of Feb, we'll release the 1.9 unobfuscated, which means that our "word finding" contest will be delayed or cancelled. You must know it's nonsense to force the gamer to find tricky hidden words when he can just decompile the games. Easy decompile techniques are there en masse.

Sorry if this had to happen, but we don't want to hold back a finished Update to you, after all the development of 1.10 has just started.

As you can see the versions 1.4.1; 1.5 and 1.5.1 has been discontinued.

I found the one I used for my joke engine but for some reason it no longer reads as a java file?

We already used that obfuscator but it totally messed up our code. The game didn't run properly

When obfuscating with that what we got the savefile is completely readable. The only thing that's changed are the resource names. I thought of one obfuscator that completely changes the code into ASCII mess.

Some of our fans wanted us to use an obfuscator. Poorly we can't find one that is easy to use and obfuscates everything completely unreadable. We found one but it didn't work well because of the engine we used. We used YoSniper's engine and that obfuscator didn't even make the savefile unreadable. What obfuscators do you use?

Here we are again!

We already released an approximate changelog. You can look it up in our DropBox!
Also we want to release some information for the "contest"!

There are words hidden deep in the game! You need much attention and luck to find those. So you don't get confused all of the words are red. The words are very hard to find and not only can be found by playing the hole game once or twice! Maybe you can even guess the sentence in the end!
When you think you found the sentence write us a personal message containing nothing more than the sentence it self (we will tolerate if you forgot to set a dot at the end but no spelling mistakes!). If the message has more or less than that one sentence inside we will ignore it so look at the message ten times or more! The contest is over when the final version of the game is released so you all have time enough. We will announce when the version is going to arrive so relax and search. What you can win? See the message above containing the first rules we thought of!

If we have more to say we let you now!

***There are probably more solutions for the contest but the logic needs to stay the same!

Over 100 people downloaded I Wanna Kill The Mom already! Thank you! By the way the changelog of version 1.9 is probably:

Make sure you use an obfuscator on it so now one just decompiles the game and cheats.

I honestly think Speedland and the zone after that needs background. It's just so boring to have a blank background, you know what I mean. (BTW I'm zero spaces) Maybe you could put a level from Sonic Unleashed or F-Zero for the Speedland? dunno
@Also this game is really difficult, far more from what I've expected. I'd say make it a bit easier so the player won't struggle too much.

Thanks for the good feedback. Since this game was made retarded I thought noone would post some feedback but thanks! I'll look at the background in all the chapters and I'll see what I can come up with! The game was made difficult on purpose! To nerf the game a bit we downsized the hitbox of the kid and brought him the old design back (Cheatcode "OldSchool"). Probably we remove some spikes later!

We are really happy if we see feedback from the IWBTG community even if it is something like

nobody cares about your shitty fucking fangame

Hello IWKTM fans!

The new 1.9 update will be released very soon! It seems like you have fun playing the new 1.8 update with the horror-land involved!
To get even more users playing our game we will start a "contest". In the upcoming 1.9 update will be secrets. Those secrets are just words. But these words together build a whole sentence (The words won't be in the correct order)! The first one who completes the task to send a personal message to us with the hole sentence in it (replying this thread doesn't count) will get a price!!!
You can win a paysafecard with the price of round about 25€ / 30$ (2014.12.27)!

The development of I Wanna Kill The Mom 1.8 and three batch files to modify your savefile to Horror-Land has been finished.
The game will be released like everytime. The three batch files will be delievered in a rar archive. If you want to patch savegame 1 execute savegame1.bat etc. A readme is delievered too.

As in the Teaser announced version 1.8 will be released on 24th December..I think it's the best christmas gift ever.

By the way: All autoscroll levels will be widescreen levels in 1.8.
