I feel like a true American today, as I've just experienced the JOYS of being summoned for Jury Duty. Granted, I was never called in to any of the courtrooms, but sitting in the waiting room for 9 hours straight was so much fun. I drained my iPod battery, I played a few quick games on my Wiz and then realized that I couldn't save progress due to my broken SD card, and sat through such classic movies that they showed such as RV, Night at The Museum and Napoleon Dynamite.

Who else here has had such an experience? Has anyone here actually served on a jury?

The people I'd like to meet include:

Kitty, DSK and SL (awesome mods are awesome)
Liquid and Evan (2 very funny guys, always a laugh from them)
Chronofox (with the lengthy stuff that you've written, it would be cool to see that in conversation form)
Venser, Kudo and Tijit (also great people, plus see if I can pick up tips on game design from them)
Richard (I swear we have the same wavelength sometimes)
Ybbald, Yuping and Nolan (3 more cool guys)
Kayin (for making IWBTG and basically forming this place where we've all met) and finally Sivak (for making the fantastic Battle Kid game on NES).

I wouldn't mind meeting the rest of the people on here, but I'd like to meet these people in particular.

I left my cell phone back at the hotel (as it was just a few floors down from where we were staying), and I didn't even think of getting a snapshot with her.  However, I will upload the prom-like shot of me and the three girls that I went to the ball with when one of them gets it scanned.

It looks like I also missed that you also gained back some Kayin points as well, Venser!

While it was supposed to be a Masquerade ball, only a good 5% of the people there actually wore masks, which rendered the 'Masquerade' portion of it useless.

This girl was amazing: She had the reddest dyed hair I had ever seen, she had colored contacts in that made her eyes look Seafoam Green, had the cutest mousy voice, and was a great dancer to boot.

Sure, I would love to be inducted into the Church of Venser! One question though...

Will there be any ceremonies done a la the Stonecutters where I get beaten by several wooden planks by the rest of the members?

HOLY FRIGGIN' CRAP

I had so much fun down in San Jose over the past 4 days. Some highlights include:

Coming in 2nd place for a Super Mario Bros. Speed Run
Making fun of the religious protesters that were there
Stealing a bathrobe from the hotel I was staying at, put on a wig and claimed that I was God and that the protesters had nothing to do with me
Handing Jesus that was standing with the protesters (another cosplayer) a few french fries from Carl's Jr.
Getting my ass handed to me playing Beatmania
Going to the Masquerade ball they had and dancing with the hottest girl there
Spending about $185 on DVDs alone

All in all, I had so much fun, but now I'm back and freaking exhausted. Doesn't help that my parents decided that this weekend was the time to re-tile the downstairs, rendering both my bathroom and the washer/dryer useless.

Did I miss anything important (besides a few avatar changes)?

My friends and I always talk about how it would be cool to get together one of these years and hit up a larger anime convention than the local ones we throw in town...

We finally got together the money and we're actually going this year, so I will be down in San Jose for the next 4 days without computer access.

Our group is going as characters from Tekken, so I'll post some pics when I get back if anyone cares.
