Kayin, here's a room you'll have to do something with in upcoming versions.  Maybe this has already been found though.  I figured this isn't meant to be seen, so it goes in the bug section.

If you jump to the right immediately as you fall out of Gutsman's room, or climb a frozen Geemer up that same shaft and jump to the right, you can run to the right above The Factory, the Quickman room, make a couple jumps when it seems nothing's happening, and land in this room.  It's like seeing behind the scenes sort of.

Oh ... I was just assuming that the keypresses were not being registered every so often, or there was some sweet spot in the jump, or whatever.  That's actually pretty intuitive and I should have known, heh.

I agree about Tourian.  Maybe just unseal everything after beating The Guy and let the players free roam.  You can press backspace to get to the "Trophy Room" right?  I can't seem to get the ending to work, so I don't know.

One of the former The Guy's is hiding something.


Location:
Ryu Hayabasa's protrait in the Fortress of The Guy.  There's a cracked section in the lower right.  Jump into from the next screen over and you'll find a moving platform.  Step on the block keeping it in to release it and ride it under The Bridge of The Guy to the right.  Jump before it hits the other wall to reach the unreachable save point and the next secret room.

About #3, personaomega:

I can't make the last wall-jump to the left side of the room.  I lose speed about halfway there and then fall into the spikes.  I've made the jump relatively high off that wall, and I still don't get close to the ledge.  Is this jump possible?  Is there some trick to it?

I just magically double-jumped after a wall-jump, which is something I didn't think was possible and had even tried to do here a few times without any success.  So, ignore this.

Kinda wish I had an old NES controller while I play, so I could vent my frustration on it like I used to.  Both of my old ones have Ninja Gaiden teeth marks and Mega Man teeth marks.  I'd love to add a fresh dental impression for IWBTG, to compare to the old ones.

I don't know why I would bite the controller...  What a feral gamer I must have been.

To that guy a few posts back, you can return to the room before Bowser and save by jumping through the left side of the screen.

A suggestion I haven't seen yet: Crazy The Kid Physics.  Make a room or area where The Kid's physics rules change.  Like whole rooms where gravity is reversed.  Places where gravity is pulling to the side, and The Kid shoots vertically instead.  Maybe a room where gravity is periodically changing, forcing you to line up with platforms to avoid spikey death.  Or how about slow motion, light gravity areas on the surface of the evil moon.  A nifty boss fight could be using frequently changing bullet directions or ricochets to kill ... I don't know ... some terrifyingly altered video game villain from my childhood (or Scrooge McDuck).  I wouldn't know what game you could put this in, if at all, but it all just sounds so fun to me.

As for IWBTG, I'm a little disappointed in the 1.0.0 RC2 changes, specifically making some parts easier.  This game is meant to be frustratingly difficult, and I'm all for glitches that hurt the player.  That sounds callous and I know it's against Kayin's wishes, but if this is a "loveletter to the halcyon days of ... videogaming," then the evil glitches certainly belong in the game.  Another idea for IWBTG: Scrooge McDuck.  Seriously.  Duck Tales was strangely awesome.

I am now the guy (hard mode).  I nearly restarted on medium quite a few times when I just didn't feel like going through 2+ screens of ridiculous death again before a save.  Every time the kid plopped down with that bow, though, I wouldn't go two blocks before going back to hard.  Heh, nice touch.

Took me a lot longer in the castle of the guy.  I must have hit every debug hotkey on my way through, taking hours to actually realize what I'm doing.  That whole area was spoilertastic, including seeing a brief glimpse of the ending during the elevator ride over and over again.

I finally make it to that cart ride that says on the way to the palace of the Guy, but everytime I jumped I'd teleport to some dragon boss fight place.  It turns out it was just from pressing "J", which I had remapped as jump.  No biggie, but the J key still teleports from the cart ride to the dragon guy.
