Crap! / Macs have taught me a valuable life lesson.

Plug USB drive into mac -> mac corrupts filesystem on it.
I don't know whats worse: that it corrupted the filesystem, or that it was writing to a flash drive when it had no fucking reason to.  Especially considering flash drives have a limited life span with regards to writes.

I can throw a mac further than I'd trust one at this point.
Thanks, Mac, for reminding me why I hated you so much.

Help! / IWBTF help request
« on: May 03, 2010, 09:02:09 pm »
Thinking of updating the fixer, but in order to do so, I need screenshots (in PNG format) of all the frames on very hard (Two for each frame actually, with the kid in different positions).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I just divided by zero.  What are you going to do about it?

Suggestions and Bug Reports! / Save file fixer - I Wanna Be The Fix
« on: March 19, 2009, 09:29:33 am »
A few days ago, my second run through the game went a little bit wonky (As in, I was up to The Guy, but it said I had ten minutes playtime and 9 deaths).  In an attempt to fix this issue (I knew what my time and deaths were before), I decided to find out how to alter the save files.  Some time later, I worked out what a large amount of the values were, and decided it would be good to have a program that could automatically edit all these values for you, rather then just manually using a hex editor.

Two days later, and the program is functioning (It appears to work, but I wouldn't trust it that much).  Currently, it can alter the difficulty, time, deaths, bosses defeated, and your position.

To run it, just download the attached archive, extract it somewhere, and double click on the file called "run".  Unfortunately, its coded in java, and the only computer I have that could compile it has the latest version of the JDK installed, so if you want to run it, you will need the latest version of java, or it wont start.  I'll try to upload a version more compatible with older versions of java soon.
