I can't double jump off of Mecha Birdo's eggs, I actually beat him once, but he shot lasers above where I was, so I couldn't jump, and the egg was going off the screen, so I died.

Any tips on how to fix this?

You're falling off the egg, That's why your double jump doesn't work.

Falling off a ledge counts as one jump , meaning you still have your double jump but that's it. Whereas if you jump you still have an extra jmup but you'll clear more space.

The games supposed to put you in dickmove position's like that. It doesn't mean it's broken. Your now saying that because you can't beat it the game is wrong.

No, i'm saying that because while the game is very hard, it shouldn't be impossible.

It's not impossible , loads of people have beaten this boss. Your just not very good.

This is caused by you miss timing your jumps. I would like to say that you should never need to get that close to the edge of an egg in that fight you have plenty of room for error.

doesn't matter if you suck there were much harder jumps earlier in the game.

If you're letting the shyguys get on the screen for longer than 5 seconds, you are doing it wrong.

When the shyguys appear, they are your priority.

If you learn the timing, you can shoot bullets at the Shy Guys before they even appear and try to kill most or all of them. What do you mean you beat him once? Do you mean you got past the first stage and died on the second?

Some suggestions:

Watch lots of Mecha Birdo videos and try copying their strategies.

Practice shooting faster. If you can shoot fast, you shouldn't have any problems getting past the first stage before any Shy Guys appear.

When you get to the second stage, well, you're kind of screwed if you find it difficult getting past the first stage. But never give up! I've been stuck on one boss in a fangame for almost a month and have died about 2000 times on her. But I haven't given up and I'm getting really close to beating her. The point is, you'll be amazed at what you can do if you don't stop trying.
