Everypony of the mane 6 finds out that the Princesses are having a special occasion at Ponyville. Every single one of them begins to work extra hard to make something spectacular come together. Twilight reorganizes her library (again), orders in rare books for the occasion, and finds an interesting magical spell that she wants to learn, which ends up using all of her time. Rarity wants to impress them with her seamstress abilities, and spends all her time trying to pull off something amazing. Rainbow Dash spends all her time practicing how to pull off a double rainboom. Fluttershy spends her time organizing an entire play with her animals, for the amusement of the entire town. Pinkie Pie works with the Cakes for days on end to create a magnificent feast for the two. However Applejack decides to do nothing special. She does the usual preparations for any such occasion and goes about her daily business, along with having fun with all her free time. All the other 5 mock her because she doesn't put any work into the event. When they come, each one presents what they have done to the Princesses. However Applejack simply comes along and tells them the truth that this wasn't any special event, and needed no special preparations. Celestia and Luna smile at each other, then at Applejack, who turns around to face the other 5. Celestia says to Twilight, "Learned something?" Twilight looks puzzled for a second until she figures it out. "There was this line in a book I read, it said 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy'." The 5 look at their creations again and realize that they really aren't that great, and in fact they are rather lackluster. Applejack smiles to herself before saying to the princesses, "Ah think they get it. Remember ta werk hard, but don't ferget ta spend some time of yer own." /credits
