Welp, I've started writing my own fanfiction (2nd one I've started).  It's gonna be called Fanon Cannon, until I come up with a better name.  The base idea is a slice of life fic as a brony in Equestria tries to acquaint himself with everyone, knowing everything about Ponyville.  Turns out that all of his "facts" are really just false fanon, and is left questioning what he had learned back home.

So far I'm about 800 words into it.  I know, not much.  A lot of my problem writing this is how I must have a segment EVERY DESCRIPTION AND LINE be absolutely PERFECT before moving on.  On top of that, I'm terribad at writing, especially dialogue, since this is practically my first shot at it.

Also, I'm not sure how many Pinkemena Diane Pie jokes I can make before EqD refuses to post it.

Hey guys, I just finished reading My Little Dashie. 8 / 10, decent story. I especially enjoyed the ending - although I felt it was a bit cliche and expected; in fact the entire story really lacked in any plot twists. One thing that I didn't like about the story was that the first 2 /3 of it sounded like a guy's personal fantasy, which I feel lingers a bit on the edge of obsession, kind of like how Twilight must have been Stephenie Meyer's own fap fantasy or something like that. Still, because the ending was so touching, I thought it was in the end quite realistic - I would've very much done the same in the author's situation if something like that had happened to me.

Are there any other sad ponyfics out there?

Seriously. Pony Psychology. I recommend it all the time. Go read it now.

Well that was a fun episode. Honestly didn't expect it to be any good, but I found it very enjoyable. It's funny; so far every episode I had high hopes for made me disappointed, and those I thought little of blew me away. Maybe I should watch the rest of the season with low expectations? But yeah, great episode, and a good bit of history learned to.

EDIT 2 (7:00): Poor Applebloom.  I know psychologically she's being hammered into paste.  Young'uns care soooo much about what others see them as.  Waiting for the Chekov's Gun about asking for 100 jars of Zapapple jam.  Also, see pic attached below.  When you see it... You'll probably wtf-are-you-doing.  Also, that eating one with the fork and knife as a butt symbol on the far left.  Favorite background kid.

EDIT 3 (15:00): I swear, whenever something interesting starts to happen, such as Ponyville of long ago, the video catches up to what it loaded and I have to wait.

I thought it was a very well done episode. It could have turned out much worse with that premise, but the only logical hole they created was that Granny Smith is hundreds of years old.

Hundreds of years old? Pah, unlikely. What this episode did was reveal historical facts of Equestria, and in this instance we learn that Ponyville isn't that old a town. Actually it did show a bit of how that world progresses in a historical sense compared to our world. Interesting the kinds of topics of discussion that arise from this one particular show.

Ponies do not have 10 digits (which is why they're called digits in the first place), so it wouldn't make sense for them to use our numeral system. But we know they do (nowadays). 'One hundred' is based solely on the fact that the numeral base is 10 and it has reached the 3rd digit. If ponies used to have (and must then have changed in the last 100 years) a numeral system based on, let's say, 4 (hooves), 'hunderds' could mean more than '100', which is base 4 for 17. An actual hundred in base four would be 1210. If younger ponies think in base 10, but an old book would say 1210 then Twilight will probably think that means hundreds. And she reads a lot of books.
