That said, I do enjoy the show but I've watched so many episodes that there's nothing I haven't watched to watch. And I don't wake up early, so can't watch it on The Hub.

I kinda stopped being a Brony altogether after everything with Alicorn Twilight. Mostly because everyone made such a huge deal about it. Whatever, maybe I'll watch Season 4 when it comes out.

There's a point where you just stop caring about the fandom altogether, simply because they don't know how to deal with things beyond their control. Alicorn Twilight wasn't really a bad thing, but everyone made a big deal about it. You don't see half of the Doctor Who fandom leaving every time there's a new doctor, do you? No, because you like the show for reasons beyond one (albeit slightly more than) measly detail.

I'm totally up for watching the new season and laughing at everyone who makes a big deal about all the little things.

You raise a valid point, but Doctor Who has its mythology established already, and it's been established for quite a while that we'll get new doctors every once in a while. FiM has only just (canonically) established that it's possible for ponies to be promoted to alicornhood, and that's not something people are ready to deal with.

Also, rushed episode, she didn't really create new magic so much as fix old magic, blah blah.

I will agree on that; however when the second Doctor came along there probably wasn't a fandom of the size that this one is, which is why we had a sort of diminishing returns effect start with very little return, so now it's just commonplace.

And yep, I think the main reason people didn't like the S3 ending was because it was so rushed and gave way too much info rather than spreading it out over a few episodes.
