or at least, a single functional room...but I have no idea how to use game maker x.x I have Game Maker 8 Pro and I've no idea how in the world to use it. I downloaded I Wanna Be The Engine Pro V2 and opened it, I see all the sprites, all the triggers, objects, etc...but I have no idea how to make a room, how to do anything...are there any tutorials as to how to make IWBTG games?

All the tutorials I've seen so far on youtube are crap.
The best thing to do is figuring out how it works by yourself. The documentation written by tijitdamijit for IWBTE[v1] helps a lot. I don't know whether v2 contains it.

Learn how gm works. Just learn the basics of GM, then read the documentation so you know what to do.
If you need tutorials, why don't you check the place you got the program from.
