"Why capture? Hostage situations rarely end well, and I don't think anyone would be offering us anything," says Drake. "Anyway, if you want to prepare in advance, certainly feel free to pick out what your weapons are going to be. We've got a few others who are going to be working with us on this one as well..."

"Really? I didn't think you were the kind to accept help. Who're they?"

"Just a few rebellious employees of an undisclosed company, not much, but we could use their help."

Drake goes off, most likely to polish up his guns. You're unsure about your full strength, but you think a visit to the makeshift gym might be able to help you assess yourself in that regard.

[Velocity]

Head to said gym, looking around.

You've got the standard punching bags, as well as a few weight racks, dumbbells, weight machines, and that dummy you ravaged earlier.

Sit on one of the weight machines, and work my way up, seeing how many weights I can use.

You set the weight for the bar pull to 50 lbs, but quickly work your way up to 150, easily. At 250, you're feeling somewhat challenged, and at 450, you're reaching your limit.

It's amazing what these few days have done to you...you're amazingly strong.

Smile, and go back to my room, seeing if I have any melee weapons that would work well with my blades.

You're unsure what you could use to complement the blades, but you've got shuriken and replica katanas to work with, for starters.

[Velocity]

Decide I should keep the shuriken as decorations, and look through my katanas.

You've got a rack of three, none of them are too flashy, just basic katana swords with grips and sheathes. In addition, you've got a wooden practice sword, which hurts like a bitch to get hit with.

Take one katana, deciding two is over-the-top even with nanites, and put the sheathe on my belt. Take one of my pistols, and head back to the main area.

"I really hope that's satirical," says Kristen as she passes you in the main area, carrying a platter of nachos.

You find that you're actually quite hungry, maybe you should partake in that meal you ordered.

"Uhh... Yeah."
