it wont save!!!

i downloaded the game a few days ago. im not good at it but anyway i got to the first save point before that spike platform lifts u up and i saved and according to the game it saved but when i go on my file i start at the very beginning of the game again. and this happened like 3 times so what do i do to make it save??? :kid:

That's your problem. Pressing the 'A' key starts a new file in the first slot on Hard, or on Impossible if you just died on that mode. Use a different key to select your file and you should be fine.
