The controls you use to do special attacks will be in the vain of 2d fighters.  QCFs, dragon punches and charge moves. Not some complex crazy directional input that involves standing in place for 2 minutes.

Just make sure it flows and is actually useful/fun, aka- more like Richter and less like Alucard ;)

This game sounds awesome and I can't wait for it...

I've always hated Turn based and slow Rpg games..(Of course I like Final fantasy..But it's just...Slow..>.<)

The brave part of this game is the size of your sprites.  I mean, it's looking great so far, I'm just saying that sprites that size means a shit ton of work ahead of you...

Any info on Construct?  MMF2 is working just fine for what I'm doing right now, but I don't want to stick with it forever.  I'd like an MMF2 that cans the events and adds C.

Isn't Construct kind of unstable to be making a game with right now? I guess you could still learn about it and get a feel for what you're going to be doing though.
