The Rise of Kafinex

Is anyone here familiar with D&D 2nd Edition, or should I dig out my 3E sourcebooks and refer to SRD for .5 errata? I want to do the prequel story to The Elsa Alliance but I don't want to have to juggle my own engine test at the same time.

3.5E is busted as shit but you'll probably be able to find everything you could want to ask about it. I don't know anything about 2E.

I suppose that means that 5E is out of the question, then?

I don't have 5E sourcebooks, so that's out. 4E has the same problem (as much as I'd love to try running it).

2E... the main appeal of 2E is watching you all struggle with THAC0 for the first few sessions before it clicks and becomes so innate that you can't do 3E Hit Checks anymore. That's literally it.

Almost forgot this.

Whatever engine that ends up getting used, I reserve the use of the words "good" and "evil" for plot-important characters and for how the general public sees the PCs. Use Selfless and Selfish instead, ends up being the same thing as far as PCs are concerned (and is a bit more honest than good/evil). Law/Chaos are good to go.
