I just read I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. The main character's situation and his suffering is described very well. The only criticism I would have is that it's conceptually very unrealistic.

That's precisely what I like of it; Too abstract from reality is definitely my cup of tea.

Getting into Stephen King. Though his stories drag, I'm fairly certain "The Stand" will be fine.

Have any of you guys read Infinite Jest? It looks like it's a bit of a meme on /lit/ but it seems like a good read.

About to start Moby-Dick

Yeah, unwind (from the sounds of it) is your typical bullshit dystopian novel. Just a required summer read, is all.

John Steinbeck really catches my interests, however. Read Of Mice and Men, and planning to read Grapes of Wrath sometime in the future
Have you read East of Eden? Steinbeck considers it his magnum opus.

Reading Kuyucaklı Yusuf. It's depressing as hell but it has got it's own charm.

Brief plot summaries say that it is a tragedy that happened around the Nazi Regime(?). Can't find much on it though. Looks good.

I don't know where did you get that information but it has nothing to do with nazis. The plot is  fairly complicated but simple. It's a love story. There is this detective guy that adopts a kid who had his parent murdered and he's married to a girl who's 15 years younger than him. Their relationship don't go well and with the coming of that kid it becomes even worse. The stepmother hates the kid etc. and they eventually break up. The kid moves with the detective to another country. When the kid becomes 19 he falls in love with a girl and after a long set of events he accidentally kills her, buries her body and escapes. The end.

Shit, surprised no one brought this up.

The hitchhikers guide series.

Good, classic British humor

Ew, double post.

Well, I'm ashamed to admit that as a teen in this generation I have not read Harry Potter (Asides from the first one.)

Well I'm almost done with book 2 and what the hell have I been missing this is some good shit.
