I Wanna Usurp the Celestial Jump
« on: June 22, 2015, 07:26:36 pm »

"And the angel shattered the darkness with its radiance, glass skin shining and storm inside roiling, and it said unto me that the LORD my God required a great feat of me. I was to build a tower that would pierce the heavens with its spire and rend the earth with its foundation. And once my task was complete the LORD my God would open the gates of heaven to me and mine." - Refresher 20:13-16

Because you don't have to do it.

That jump is literally impossible, what makes you think it would be required?

It is a great first impression, because jump refreshers are amazing and the triple diamond is clearly a joke. I'm sorry you are so unable to enjoy life.

Yes, a mean comment from me, it is now deleted. I'm sorry, sometimes I am too serious.

Okay, now that I am actually using this account I can spill my thoughts of this game... WHY? It's REALLY good, you obviously worked hard. It was funny how many jumps refreshers there were in stage 1, while there were less in stage 2 that's when you cranked up the difficulty very suddenly. There is close to no difficulty curve, just difficulty. But even with my criticism I still find this fangame rather fun and enjoyable, main problem being lack of a difficulty curve with very sudden boosts of difficulty,

Why? The God of All Jumps is the one true god, and I am his prophet. Thus I say: the Folium of Descartes is a curve just as true as an exponential one.

Which is to say, I really like jump refreshers and I made this game in a week so it's not very tested.

Ha, well if it only took you a week to make, that's actually kinda impressive...

It's because I'm a genius who definitely intended the first screen to have as many skips as it does.

I originally intended not to post this, but it's getting really troublesome...
Not many IWBTG fangames have had lag on my PC, yet this game is laggy in an odd way. Ofc the slowdown helps with getting past the obstacles, but there're these hiccups that make the game run normal for a split second. Kind of makes the game a million times harder than if it was at 2x the normal speed.

Do you know what might be causing it? I've been defragging lately, but that takes a good 6 hours, and I'm still monetarily far from getting an external HDD, where I could put my filesize-heavy resources that I use for my videos, and other stuff. Maybe it could be GMS? This is the first IWBTG game I've played that's made with the KS engine...
I can list my specs, if that helps. It's pretty crappy, most Steam games run @ ~2fps. T^T

My guess is that you probably should just leave every non-essential window that is running alongside the game closed for the time you play it. GMS can cause a lot of leaks, so to speak.

My computer was exactly in that state when I was running it.
So... should I post my specs?
