Now tell us, Tij, where do you plan to place the new content?  My guess would be behind the demo wall at the end, since it looks pretty set up for something new.  Or are you going to keep it a secret until the release?

Secret areas are spread all around the place. The sticky keys boss has been moved to the end, and a whole bunch of areas have been added imbetween. Due to lack of testing and work being done on the game (I've actually been sick for the last month and a half, and finding motivation to work on it is not a sure thing) the release is still a fair way away.

I'm debating whether I should have the boss as the finale, or a "OMG THE CASTLE IS EXPLODING RUN AWAY" Zelda OOT-style ending. I think the latter would be more epic, plus for those crazy people who are gonna play it on very hard or time trial mode* you'll have to beat the boss AND escape the castle without a save point.


*an unlockable play mode you get for beating the game - you play through one of the paths and try to do that path as quickly as possible. Best times will be recorded, and people will be able to show off their scores somewhere, depending on whether or not the fangame gets it's own forum.

OLDGREGEREY has it right, Tentacool messes up your controls.

You might see an apperance of him a bit later on in the game too, so keep an eye out.

Tij has gone so far as to change the shooting mechanic in the Mecha Sphegettio boss fight, it's that intense, so that's also going to be awesome. Lotsa' good stuff on the way dudes.

Oh snap, just got the most recent build, and Tij has been going kind of crazy with the secret areas now. I'm pretty sure we'll end up with more secret stuff than actual game : \....

I've been powering through IWBTG fangames lately, just to see where the community is at.  I restarted mine after like a year.  Remade the engine from scratch, threw in a dialogue system, etc.  I see there's a fangame that implemented giant Bullet Bills that blow through the scenery, which I had coded months before it came out... I wonder if any of the new content here includes ideas that I had for my game.

I remember you guys were talking about a Guitar Hero part before b3 was out.  Did you ever put that in?  I had a Rock Band part finished in my WIP before my old PC crashed, and I fully intend on remaking that screen as a boss fight.  Lemme know.  Looking forward to the full release.
