The Endless Desert is something tijit put into the game to punish people who try to get the Secret Items on Medium Mode (if I recall the post explaining it correctly). If you saved in there you have to start again unless you attach your save file to a post and someone is kind enough to rescue it for you. Apparently it's been removed in the final version.

Well, I've decided that I can't wait for the final version, and decided to try the beta v3.  It's actually really fun.  I'm at the first boss.

I just beat the first boss and i'm trying to figure out when

Is V3 still the latest version or did I miss a newer post? I watched the walkthrough and I have to say that gameplay wise it looked pretty fun, though certain parts were slow. However the game lacks ascetic appeal. Also the last boss seemed somewhat anti climactic.

This game was awesome to play [beat it on hard just now]

and I shat bricks when I saved in the NO BOW area only to find that it was unfinished. this thread saved me a few hours of frustration. 

Looking forward to the full release, guys. Great job.

dammit i saved above a spike in the green room right after the portal area. Is there anyway to fix this? D:

Can't you still open the file with notepad and mess with the coordinates a bit? Though, you might want to make a back-up save before doing that, just in case.

That's happened to a LOT of people, I've changed around the level so you can't do it anymore.

I'm trying to stop as many instances of this occuring that I can.. where was the other place where this happened?

It was the screen right before the puzzle bobble area, the green one with the blue square. I saved so that I would continuously fall into the spike at the top left.

Hm... in the new version you can double jump right after you spawn, so that'll be less of a mistake later on. I might make some changes to that screen anyway though.

yes that would fix that one, i saved exactly low enough so that i would touch the ledge but not be able to get on it >_>
anyways i started a new save again on hard this time and i just got past the puzzle bobble boss again
