I don't suppose anyone can tell me how to avoid the rising spikes in the level after the Cacodemon?

ride the top platform over them until the start to rise. Then just walk off to the left and do a quick jump to get underneath the spikes.

Hai. This is the third beta. Contains an ending, and a bunch of secret items and gratuitous amounts of bug fixes.

I'll upload some video walkthroughs later, specifically how to find and get the secret items.
