First of all hello to everyone, I'm TF2Charmander coming to this slightly dead forum because IWBTG has been with me since around 2009.
SINCE 2009! Yet I've never been able to beat Mecha Birdo, now since that point I've beaten Cave Story and Megaman 2 so I'm pretty good in the jump n' shoot genre now
but if anyone has any tips, please share them with me. I wanna be the guy...

Do defeat the Cyberdemon Mecha Birdo, shoot it until it dies.

I say that like it's a joke, but Mecha Birdo is probably the most straightforward of all the boss fights. If it isn't, it's right behind Mother Brain. The only thing you really need to do is get good at judging when to jump from egg to egg. Everything else is just dodge and shoot.

Heh, okay thanks I think I knew that. I have been playing a lot of Psychonauts so I think I've gotten pretty good at platforming by now. But those Shy Guys are my biggest
issue, thanks anyways.

I had a lot of problems with MB too and wouldn't say it's that straightforward. Timing when to jump is really tricky. In the second phase where he shoots lasers from his eyes I found that it was most useful to jump just before he fires his lazer. The third phase was annoying with helicopter dudes flying but it he has very little hp left at that point so essentially I just spam and hope he dies as soon as possible
