But the chance of straight parents having a gay kid is far lower than gay parents having a striaght kid.
...yeah, but there are less gay parents in the first place.
I believe the chances of a person being gay is around 10%?
Chances of parents being gay, kids being gay = 10% x 10% = 1%
Chances of parents being gay, kids being straight = 10% x 90% = 9%
Chances of parents being straight, kids being gay = 90% x 10% = 9%
Chances of parents being straight, kids being straight = 90% x 90% = 81%
Sorry, but you might want to do your maths again. There should be around the same number of gays with straight kids as straights with gay kids, 9%.
..my maths might be wrong, I'm pretty tired this morning. Sorry if that's the case.
I have to admit I'm glad you didn't make a post saying "it's unhealthy for kids, it turns them all into fags", which is what I was honestly expecting when I read that second line.
Because it doesn't.
Yeah, I know. It's just a highly overused and utterly retarded argument used by ignorant homophobes.
Social services check out people when they adopt and people who can't take care of kids are turned away. But some can still adopt. No system is perfect.
Exactly? So, homosexuals who would be bad parents are turned away, but the ones who would make good parents should be given the right to adopt? I fail to see any reason to separate them into groups based on sexual preference; either you make good parents, or bad parents.
