Hey guys, what program do you use to capture footage? Hopefully it's free 

I currently use "Super Screen Capture", and damn, it sucks. The framerate is hideous, the sound is worse, and 1 minute of footage = a 300mb file. I remember using Camtasia and stuff in the past, but sadly my trial has run out, and I am a freeloader XP

CamStudio. It's completely free, open source, and works beautifully.

Camtasia wins for me. I think I used every single captura program there is, and Camtasia is the only one that doesn't kill my FPS

CamStudio delayed my audio and got a little annoying.

I downloaded the torrent of SnagIt and so far it's been working fine.

Yeah, Snagit hasn't been that bad for me. ...Except for stupid glitching platform fallthroughs. >:E

I'm a noob at this sort of thing....

Hypercam does the best thus far, but I'm trying to get Camstudio to work.

Hypercam records audio and the footage, but won't play the whole movie.  It starts just fine, but once the audio kicks in, it plays no video;  not even the game music.

I don't know what to do. T_T

i use hypercam (the vers w/ the thing on top left, i don gots money) and camstudio, but i messed up the settings on both >_>

FYI, the problem with audio is sometimes you gotta click in AND out of the window to get it to pick anything up, as I found out with Camstudio, which now works
