Man, in my first day of MMF2 I mad like 2 screens done for IWBTG. By day 2 I had a custom movement engine.

Progress report: it's gone from a beat em up to a platformer, it's got moving platforms, enemies, dancing spikes, sewer fish, dancing spikes, and Shredder.

I'm not MUGEN edumacated yet, but it sounds awesome. I have plain old 8 bit Shredder cause I'm trying to keep my game in 8 bit land *music, sounds, graphics, everything* and I may have to rebuild Shredder from the ground up cause he has no animations right now which sucks.

Progress report: Level done, cutscene kinda done, Shredder done until I can redo the whole fight better x_x

As is usually the case with user-created competitions, a lot of MUGEN characters are cheap broken idiots- lots of DBZ characters with 9999999 damage or health or speed, etc.
Psycho Shredder is unusual in that it can beat most every other char in the game, without that kind of cheapness- instead it has elegant programming solutions to every possible attack and defense.
The creators of Psycho Shredder are really elitist, but it's with good reason- they've made a char that beats all other characters, without using custom AI or power levels OVER 9000!!!

Here's a vid of PS beating a buch of cheap characters- and it is version 2.4. It's now at version 3.6 or so.

Haha well, progress is going decently. I just need to make it so enemies don't randomly have the ability to see you slightly offscreen and shoot at you, create a death animation, add more enemies, and find a way to push a bomb left and right without it either having a seizure, going only right, or going only left x_x by then maybe I will have a working demo.

I didn't really see why you switched to MMF2, seeing as GM can be really easy to use if you know what to do: I was able to make shitty yet playable games with it in 6th-7th grade or so. You just need experience to be able to use GM well.

Anyways, I've been keeping up with the game by watching your somewhat-weekly development journals, and it looks good as of now, but needs better enemies. The turrets are just, meh. Unless you plan to keep them that way for level 1 and make better ones later, I suggest you add in something to make them harder. Maybe make one that shoots bullets at your position, or have them shoot randomly instead of at a constant rate.

Other than that, looks fun. Do want.

Just dropping in to let you know Mystic Dwellings hasn't been dropped. I've been bug busting as of lately, finally got rid of that annoying stick to the walls like pasta glitch. Anyhow, I scrapped all the brain aliens in stage 1 and plan to replace them with traps and more mobile enemies. I'm hoping I can pull it off, and expect to have stage 1 and the platforming engine done by the end of this month *progress is slow, and I started another project too*
