I noticed when you hold down the button to go left, then also hold down the button to go right, you end up going right. But when you hold down right and then hold down left you don't go left. Is there a way to fix that or turn it off because I find it difficult to wall jump with that on?

I can easily wall jump when the wall is to the left of the person but not to the right. I'm right after the tetris part so I need to be able to wall jump or else I won't be able to get any further in the game.

To wall jump, you only need to grab onto the vine to be on it. You don't have to hold jump, left, right, or anything else. To wall jump, you hold jump and hit the opposite direction of the wall.

Example: you're holding onto a vine on the left wall, hold jump and hit right. If you want to go back to the vine, quickly hit left after you hit right.

I know you don't have to hold any buttons to stay on the wall but I just can't get used to jumping from a side of a wall to the other opposite side. Mostly because I'm used to holding the direction button that moves into the wall and when the controls aren't symmetrical, then I have trouble.

Just follow the instructions and you'll eventually get it right. It usually takes people about 20 minutes. Sometimes it helps to have a gamepad, others like the keyboard. I, personally, use a gamepad. It's pretty hard to mess up, once you get use to the wall jumping, though.

You know you can just hold shift down and not repeatedly hit it, right?

The way I found easiest was to hold the jump button down when on the wall, and then use the arrow key when I want to jump. Doing it the other way tended to waste a double jump if I still had it.

Okay, I'm finally past the part i was having trouble with. Knowing that you could get a second jump after jumping off the wall really helped. Thanks

You can get a second jump off the wall so long as you didn't use it to get to the wall. As far as the game's concerned, you're still "in the air" when you're on the wall and your double jump doesn't recharge.

One of the secret items depends on saving your double jump through a bunch of nasty walljumps.
