So 've Gotten All Six units

Well I've just beaten 6 of the bosses and I'm on the right hand side of the transportation place thingy to the guy's palace. My only problem is every time I touch the part in the middle of that screen I die. Youtube says that if i walk in there I should get magically teleported. But nooo, seems the game does not like that. anyone with half an idea what to do?

Forgive me for saying this but....

You DO have all 6 boss heads appearing on your "Save Select" screen, and they all appear in that room, right?
