This just occurred to me today: if you can edit the place of the save by pixels with IWBTFix, is it possible to place The Kid outside the game's normal boundaries, like when

in the room where you get the gun secret item in the GnG

you jump over the wall and can end up where Mechabirdo is before the boss fight?

If so, would it also be possible to place The Kid outside the game's normal boundaries into an area that isn't accessible even by bugs or glitches such as the one I mentioned?

What are the coordinates for the save box right before the mike tyson fight?  I'm making a sort of Let's Play and I forgot to record me beating him, kinda like kewb.

I downloaded IWBTF, and made a run.bat file, and I have JAVA on my computer, but it still doesn't work.  Hopefully someone will come along and find this =D

Actually, I do have one question, my previous save was right before the Mother Brain room.  Can you give me the coords for that room?  Thank you! =D

EDIT:  Somehow, all I had to do was clip to save in the Kirby section, then clip to save in the Megaman section, and it brought me to the screen right before the mother brain section, so I'm all good now.  It's 2006,1997 in the Megaman section if anyone is in the same spot.

I finally reached The Guy with 2300 deaths, I saved at the evil save. Came back on the next day, and my save was gone, when I load it brings me to the first save in the game and all my deaths/etc are gone. Total bug.

I downloaded IWBTF but when I try to open the game1 file, everything is grey and I cant change any of the stuff.

I think you may need to go into the menu and set advanced mode as on or something?
Make sure you open a valid save too.

Just to save others the trouble that I went through, be sure to set the fixer tool to advanced mode BEFORE loading your save file =)
