Damn Spikes... Need help

So yea.. i downloaded the game 2 days ago and i got up to the good o' up and down spikes.  i has 130 deaths before i tried it... i now have 220.  So uhh yea any tips or advice?  i looked at the walkthrough and it just didnt help me.
