Very Hard save placement
« on: January 18, 2008, 01:28:21 pm »

Although I was 5 bosses into my first very hard run when RC2 came out and haven't finished it yet to give feedback on other rearranged save spots, I'll comment on one that I immediately noticed.

Adding a save to the room above the moving spikes room in the ghouls n' goblins section in v.hard is giving people a break, my opinion though.

I was on that section, pulling my hair out when I discovered a total abscence of saves for the entire area, and then got RC2 and was a sadpanda.

I got through having to beat Dracula's castle in one shot though, I hope there wasn't a save added somewhere in that too.

I'll comment more when I replay through what I had done before changing over to RC2.

Not really, there's always people who don't like hentai and prefer "ordinary porn" lol

I think there should be a save point at the beginning of zaidgreif's cave, but none at the beginning of Kirby's rolling spike wall.

3 complete save files in 3 different modes, and yet I still can't beat Jumper.

There should be as few saves as possible in v.hard.

You're asking for a save before you do two rooms, the second which has a save in it as well.

That's not very hard.

I'm of the honest opinion that there should be halfway checkpoint saves between sections (so, put a save in a room that qualifies as the "middle" between say...Tyson and Mecha Birdo) and a save immediately after every boss, but nothing else, in very hard.

No saves before bosses
No pity saves if you're going 4+ rooms without a save
No nothing.

you get rewarded with a save for beating a boss and get rewarded with a breather save halfway through the next path, that's it.

At least that's what I'd do with it.

So in all, there would be, 16 save points, there would be one on the mine cart ride, (which then wouldnt be the minecart ride from hell) and we'd have to get through the hall of former guys with out a save point...
nah
maybe not very hard, maybe make that impossible (but maybe even less) and than make the one without any saves Godly. or something. :P thats just my oppininon on tha matter.

Uh

Someone who beat very hard should recall that there were only two saves in the tower of the guy total not counting the beginning...so what's the difference if one of them disappears?

keep the haggar save, lose the bowser save.

i was counting the first save, but i disagree with the bowser thing, i say keep the bowser, lose the haggar, the mike haggar rooom isnt that hard. i dont like the lu bu one. my timing is HORRIBLE.
