1 / 3 * 3 = 0.3333.... * 3
1 = 0.9999....

Between each number is the distance of an infinite amount of other, smaller numbers. There is no number that can fit between 0.999... and 1, which means the distance is 0. They are the same value.

Darwinning, please explain why it isn't. I think it is as it's off by 0.0000000...1, however there's an infinite number of 0s before the one and therefore the 1 never "happens" so it's off by just 0. So 0.999999... = 1
