You, Sylian, will last a long, LONG time, if you choose to stay here.

I welcome you with open arms.
I don't know what I've done to deserve a welcome like that, yet I appreciate it, thanks! :D

So, it seems like the secret item part was kinda tricky. The hard part was that first spike, I kept dying to it. I've finished it now, now it's time to fight Mecha Birdo. He doesn't seems that hard, yet people keep saying that he's one of the hardest bosses in the game, hmm. We shall see.

BTW, what is your policy about off topic?  9_9

Edit: I keep forgetting about the "don't double post rule", heh. Well, I decided to meld to messages again. Here it is:

To try to avoid to derail the thread I decided to post my future progress in this thread, if anyone's interested: "Progress Report! - How far have you gotten?"

Here I'll post when I crushed the parts that make other people cry.  ;D

Tell me, what OS are you using to play the game?

Windows XP.

The moon ride wasn't that hard, at least not on Medium.

Basically, try to stay on topic unless you're posting on the Crap! board. Granted, topics have a tendency to veer off topic anyways, but still...

I am not sure whether these areas are regarded as hard or not, but I beat Breakout and Gradius in 5 minutes, without even dying much. Gradius was really easy once I figured out that the wall to the left kills me, Breakout wasn't that hard either.

To me, probably the Kirby area was easy.  I actually found the Breakout/Gradius area the hardest in the game besides The Guy, although that's because I suck, hard, at breakout.  If I was as bad at Punch Out as Breakout, I would've lost to Glass Joe twice.

You found the Kirby bit easy, eh? It was one of the hardest parts in the beginning, I believe. It might have to do with the part one takes, I began with the left part, with Tetris, Kirby, Mother Brain and all that. When I came to the upper part and stuff like Ghost 'n Goblins, I had less problems with that than many other people, but I might have had more problems with Kirby and stuff. When (or if) I play the game again on hard, I will begin with the upper part.

Most of the game, it's not really that hard once you get the timing down. An exception for me is The Guy, he's taken me a LOT longer than any other section in the game. Furthest I've gotten is halfway through the last eye before choking, but I can get up to that point fairly easily. He reminds me a lot of Mother Brain - you have to jump in a precise pattern to make all the random crap fly to the right place.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts 2nd spike corridor at my very second IWBTG run. I got the timing at the first spike corridor and I can pass through at Impossible.

The Megaman Area

I can one shot that on either path. I still find it funny that people have such a hard time on the quickman room.

Spike corridor was easy once I worked out the timing (5 or 6 tries or something)

The only part I really hate is BLOODY MECHA BIRDO fgdfdstl;dr

The whole Palace of The Guy (minus The Labyrinth and The Guy.) It seemed pretty easy compared to ridiculous things like Mother Brain and the spike roller. (NOT the spike corridor, that was also fairly easy for me.)

I don't really know, Dracula was probably the easiest boss besides Tyson for me.
