So are you building your characters specifically to take down Penance or are you just going to hope you can beat him with what you have when you get there?

Pretty much the latter. Though of course, everyone becomes a clone of each other once they learn Quick Hit.

Remember to get Rikku and Wakka as physically bulky as possible. You should be fine improvising past that. Of course if you want to level everyone across the entire grid, I suppose it doesn't matter.

Got to Jecht. I'm pretty sure he's impossible. I couldn't find any guides or anything that would help me beat him when I attempted it. I hope someone has found something since then.

Wow. Now I feel like a total wuss then. I just got to Thunder Plain, and then gave up cuz it was too hard.

I used a walkthrough when I got stuck on a few key fights (Seymour Omnis is actually possible, just very luck based).

Am I the only one that still gets emotional over certain scenes in FFX, like the Summoner's Sanctum or the ending?

Especially the scene between Tidus and Yuna in Macalania Spring lol.

And in the Summoner's Sanctum too of course.

The whole speech with Yunalesca is pretty heartwarming.

I'm having trouble defeat Penance.

I have a party of Tidus, Yuna, Auron, all with maxed stats, with a few exceptions: Luck is 255, so I left Evasion for each character at around 60 and purged all their Accuracy increases. Gamefaqs also says I only need 170 Agility to receive the maximum # of turns possible, and each character has about 35 000 HP.

Tidus:

Break HP Limit
Auto-Haste
Auto-Regen
Auto-Phoenix

Auron:

Break HP Limit
Auto-Haste
Auto-Regen
Ribbon

Yuna:

Break HP Limit
Auto-Haste
Auto-Regen
Ribbon

My main problem is getting enough turns between each attack. His arms are deadly, so I try to take them out as soon as possible, but that only leaves about 3 turns in between their regeneration to attack Penance. This is because his Obliteration Attack does 20000+ damage to everyone in my party, so I have to use 3 Megalixirs to compensate. Unfortunately, I only have 38 Megalixirs in my inventory, so when I run out, I'm totally dead.

Okay, Mark, two things.

One, don't triplepost. If you really need to necro a thread and you were the last poster, delete your old post and just add it to your new one.

Two, if you have two necroposts in the same topic and no one has posted between them, there is probably zero interest whatsoever in the topic.
