Any hope of the 1-3 bullet glitch being fixed?

I'm currently on the guy, slowly getting better at the fight. But what really pisses me off is the glitch where sometimes, randomly, your bullets are limited to only 1, or 2 or 3 on the screen at one time. Instead of the intended 4. And the only way to fix it, I've found, is to die.  This makes the second form of The Guy wayyyy harder. Kayin? :(

It's fixed in the release candidates.
