You do know that you can unlock all the secret items just by modifying a single number in your savefile, right?

Anyway, it's not surprising that Pickory requires different cheating methods than other fangames, as the engine is completely different, and probably a lot more complex. The way it's coded means that among other things, the player data moves around in memory every time you reload or enter a new room.

Is there a Pickory mod where music does not restart each time I restart the game, instead just keeps playing though "game over" screen and restarts?
This seems to be simple to fix and almost not affect the gameplay.

There are a few areas where that would be problematic. In the Hydorah path, the music is timed for the length of the level.

There are also several cases where I shortened the music to save on filesize based on how long the level would likely take. If I used nonrestarting music, I'd have to go find the original music so I could use the full length version.

The main reason though is that I never saw the need to do it. IWBTG had restarting music.

Have you tried Python? That's a much better language for beginners and for general programming.
