I had just turned off the fan after mecha birdo and was about to start climbing down, I jump above the first two spikes so I can land between them and lo and behold two gorgons just randomly drop into the screen and freeze me right over the spikes. I've been seeing them drop into the top of the screen and leave since I defeated Mecha Birdo but that was just horrible timing. Is this glitch unique to the slowmo version by any chance?

Edit: I got past the fan and discovered that the Kayin didn't do a great job programing the physics when the Gorgons hit you. That aside, if I got the frameskip version would my saves still be compatible? I'm sick of falling through platforms.

"Falling through platforms"? It looks like we have another noob using cheat engine. The only times when the game allows you to fall through platforms are when you use a cheat program or you're recording.

the only platform I ever fell through was the one directly over the spike elevator sequence, directly before the fan.

Only time I remember falling through a platform in frame-skip is in the Guy's fortress in Mike Haggar's room and the saves work with both versions, so I'd give that a shot.
