Game Maker v8.0 Animation Problem

Hi uh, I'm making a fangame right now ;D, and I want to add a short clip or whatever, like those pausing and talking or moving clips in IWBTG, like when Mike Tyson comes up, it freezes you and let him get up here, and you can skip it with 'S'. :-[

Can anyone tell me how to do this plz? I'm using Game Maker v8.0   :-\

Please don't tell me to not use Game Maker, I know it's not the best but I've already gotten used to Game Maker. :)
