I dunno Storyyeller, I got to the second save point before going "this is unfunny and BS" and shrugged. Maybe the sadists like it, but I always thought of IWBTG to be more about being funny then hard. I think it's cool you've done everything your self and apparently people like it, but personally I gave up faster on it then other games.

Really the only IWBTG inspired game I like is Battle Kid. But who cares, you'll all free to do what you want. Don't go looking for validation through me, I have harsh standards.

edit: also, I am NEVER going to port IWBTG. That sounds like the most unfun thing ever.

Well I thought it was funny, but I guess I don't have quite the same sense of humor.
I also thought my game was easier then the others, but I suppose that's because I made it.

Back on topic:

When you released the engine, i immediately started messing around with construct/teaching myself. After "programming" blood, saves, bullets, a "camera", moving platforms, walljumps, and designing three screens, I thought, "Wait a minute. There's no sound."
After looking at all the sound events, I finally looked at the location of the sound files (jump1 and jump2). This is what I found:

C:\Documents and Settings\Kayin\Desktop\game\jump1.wav
C:\Documents and Settings\Kayin\Desktop\game\jump2.wav

Why does the doublejump code check for Grav<20? If I understand it correctly, this means that you can't airjump if you are falling too fast.

I'm not sure why it checks for Grav<20, as the variable can never get that high. 0.45 is added only if grav<0, and 0.5 is added only if grav<10.

I'm sick of watching people use MMF2 or GM, so heres a god damned barebones engine from one of my projects. It's an early build that doesn't have all the features I'm working on for other projects, BUT hey it's pretty much 100% accurate.

Also theres no gun support, save system or death. Consider this a 'Litmus test'. I put only effort until putting together this little basic construct demo ( It's an old backup file from way back) and giving you something full featured would require me to actually gut a file and bugtest it, which I have no interest in. So if you can't figure out how to make this work for you, you probably shouldn't be making a fangame.

Hell, you probably shouldn't be making one anyways, but I'm not going to stop you.

Kayin, i noticied that u're mouvement engine is very similar to the "custom platform mouvement" of davidN you can find here : http://www.clickteam.com/website/usa/tutorials

were you inspired by this while making iwbtg ?

hi, im new. i already have some experience whit GM, but i wanted to change the software to something more cool, so ive downloaded the engine and when i try it a message pops out and it doesnt work, what can i do?
