Bosses vs. Levels
« on: March 07, 2008, 06:15:48 pm »

Did anyone else have a harder time fighting some of the bosses than navigating most of the deadly spiky areas around the bosses.
I got my movements down for the regular parts of the levels, but the bosses just kicked my ass for the longest time.

I prefer clever designed area over cheap bosses. If the boss is cleverly designed, the yes, please.
I had much harder times at certain areas than in bosses...

Areas were most of the time a lot harder than the actual bosses.. I found bosses very very challenging.. but at the same time.. I would've way rather gone up against them instead of some of the stupid ass rooms that killed you like 40 times before you even knew what to do.

Every boss except for Mother Brain and The Guy were fairly easy.

Ghouls and Ghosts land, however...

I almost started smashing my keyboard over my monitor in frustration D:

I actually didn't find ghosts and goblins annoying as a whole. The spike corridor though.. Wow that kicked my ass over and over again...

In IWBTG, Mother Brain gave me more trouble than anything else.

But overall, levels are usually harder than bosses, if you ask me.  Although getting lost in the Labyrinth doesn't count.  :P

I guess something is just wrong with me then... I had a fairly easy time, and mind you i said fairly, getting through the levels, I actually enjoyed them. But I just completely sucked against Kradgief and Dracula.

You're an indecisive idiot.

Sorry.  :P

And the one place that I consistently have trouble with is Dracula.  No matter how many times I face him, it takes me a dozen or more times just to beat him... -.-  Not that I'm bitter.

The only area that originally gave me troubles was that part with the moving spikes on the bottom of the G&G area, and I even conquered that down to a science over time.  I can normally get all the jumps down cold, now, so that's no problem... and assuming the spike corridor was when you hop up to the save point and pretty much the room is filled with spikes... that part really didn't give me that much trouble, so I don't know why everyone gripes about it so much.  Even The Guy feels like clockwork for me, now, but I guess it's just all a matter of which sections you play through the most.

The most trouble I had was the ghost and ghouls section and from the bullet bill to kraidgief. I didn't really have so much trouble at the bosses compared to the levels. Although I did have to get a save in the "help me through this part" thread for Birdo due to a really slow computer. <__<

First off, levels for me and it not close in my mind.

My biggest beef is that once you've beaten a boss once, it gets
insanely easy, For example: the first time I got to MB i died 25 times, the
second time through I died once due to stupidity.  But levels like the spike corridor, the ceiling, and for some the kirby area, you probably die 25 at the bare-minimum the first 1-2 times.

I know levels get easy as time goes on but it takes alot longer to master
the spike corridor then The Guy.

Right then... well, I commented about that section without noticing it then.  It's really not that bad after you get that last jump down, and that last jump really isn't that bad anyway.  I mean, it took me a while, but The Guy took me longer, I think.
